Bushey Rangers finally produced a performance to show what they are capable of with a fantastic 4- 1 away win against title chasing side Brady Maccabi. An outstanding team performance with every member playing out of their skin contributed to this wonderful end of season finale. Right from the off Bushey showed a greater desire to win all over the field. From the ball winners in midfield, to the aggression in the defence, the safe hands of the keeper and the non stop running of the lone striker this was a tremendous team effort.

A hat trick from back in form Man of the Match Keiran Goom was the highlight from an individual point of view and he was supported throughout by Tom Heekin who worked tirelessly up front creating chances for both himself and for those around him. in fact on another day he could easily had a hat trick for himself but for some last ditch defending and heroic goalkeeping.

Keirans non stop running from deep and some clinical finishing was in the end what separated the teams on the score sheet. Alfie contributed as well with a fortunate goal due to a goalkeeping error but well deserved after some good work to get in the box.

The 2 full backs Ollie and Greg were excellent in both their defensive duties as well as their distribution when going forward. Both players tackled back well and were aggressive when needed and calm when required.

Dane and Thomas were solid in the centre of defence and showed a good understanding of their duties as well as some good tackling, heading and covering. Both players also showed some composure when under pressure and contributed some good passes through to the midfield and full backs which is due to their confidence growing with every game.

Lewis had one of his quieter games but when called upon pulled off some excellent saves with one outstanding tip over the bar early in the second half the pick of the bunch which was vital and kept the scoreline at 3-1.

James, Alfie and Jishoan were excellent in the middle of the park and their non stop running, tackling and distribution from the midfield set the tone for the whole team and was the catalyst for this great team effort. Charlie and Kieran worked tirelessly on the wings and Charlie was also unlucky not to score in the first half after a great run from midfield. A good yard stick for how much effort Charlie put in was he had to come off with cramp early in the second half,

Up front on his own Tom Heekin put in a tremendous amount of work and heaven knows how he didn't get on the score sheet. He was a constant thorn in the side of the opponents defence and but for some excellent shot stopping from the Brady keeper he could easily have scored a few. However his non stop harassing of the defence like the midfield set the tone for the game.

Jordan replaced Charlie and also got into the game early and worked very hard and showed some nice touches. Nicholas replaced Alfie and worked very hard in midfield and showed some composure on the ball and tackled well when needed. Shyam Kotecha came on for Jish and also got stuck right in and worked hard and tackled well.

All in all an excellent performance and result. After racing into an early 3 goal lead Bushey played some excellent football. Despite conceding a goal just before half time they never let their heads drop and picked up the effort again in the second half and went onto score another goal. In fact if any team looked like scoring again it was Bushey and they finished the stronger of the 2 teams.

This performance will hopefully give the team the confidence in their own ability and give them the belief that they can go on to bigger and better things next season.

Well done Bushey and enjoy the summer break
