Away league match played on 31 March 2013.
Kicked off at 10:59 AM

With the clocks changing meaning we lost an hours sleep, the 11 oclock kick off meant the half hours difference was well needed! We looked tired when the game kicked off and the stool was set out for Nastaran to keep hoofing the ball long to their quick forwards,12 minutes in,after a few half chances had been well saved by their keeper, the ball fell to Roundy on the edge of the box who had all the time in the world to control and had the easy job of placing past the keeper for 1-0!An ankle injury to Steve forced a re-shuffle with Reilly coming on and Glenn moving to centre back! Nastaran created a few chances after the goal, only to find Stuart on hand to either well save or not for the first time race out to clear 1 of about 100 punts forward! More and more half chances went by and we had to wait until the 39th minute for our 2nd,Scott's free kick sailing over the wall into the back of the net,2-0! With the 1st half coming to a close,we allowed yet another long punt forward to bounce and their striker volleyed home from the edge of the box for 2-1! The game was definatly there for the taking but 3 minutes into the second half,F**k knows what was going on at the back(won't say no more about it)they tapped in and it was 2-2. The response to that goal impressed me,with no-ones heads dropping and we went straight on the attack and the ball fell to Ross to finish for 3-2!Nastaran couldn't get back into the game after that, with Jack and Macca both bombing forward from their full back positions I thought it was only a matter of time before we scored again,We had to wait 20 minutes before we scored again and wrapped the game up,but it was well worth the wait,Macca, who had taken over the captains armband from the injured Steve, cut inside 2 defenders and and hit a left foot screamer into the back of the net for 4-2! In the 77th minute, the game was put to rest when Ross finished from inside the box after a goal mouth scramble to make it 5-2! The game fizzled out in the last 10 minutes,we could've and maybe should've scored at least another 1 or 2 but can't complain over a 5-2 win away from home! Overall, yet another impressive display, everyone working for each other and even after their 2nd goal no-one got on anyones back and we played as a team!Roll on next week with the quarter finals of the cup
