Home league match played on 31 October 2015.
Kicked off at 12:00 PM

After the game had been postponed and put back on again I had agreed with Craig, their manager, that we would play 6v6.

This meant a bigger pitch and I think this played into our hands completely as we are fit side that get around the pitch at pace and can exploit space in behind with killer passes.

A lot of free flowing football from CVJFC cam from quick distribution from Jake out to the 'new defender' Lewey and then got us going forward quickly each time. Good interlinking play with Tommy and Ben saw us creating chances early doors. James got up and down the pitch and left the opposing supporters qincing when he put a big slide tackle in on their 'star man'..... Who, lets face it, didn't gett anywhere near our players all day. Testament to Aidan who comfortably stays at the back and Ben was trying to do the same, just need to remember when you are playing as striker, you need to dominate THEIR goal area :).

1-0 up and Tommy grabbed a super first goal of the season. Good work from Jake who got the ball to Aidan who then switched play and set Lewey free to do what he does best when he is in the mood..... Go past players at pace. He put the ball into tomorrow who crashed the ball into the net past a keeper that was on top form. Another big part that goes un-noticed is the running that players do off the ball. James and Ben played their part in this goal by pulling defenders out of the way to clear the path for Lewey. A good team goal lads.

They quickly equalised as we seemed to think the job was done and that we would run away with it. A learning here is that no matter where you are on the pitch, you need to be aware of where the ball and and our goal are. The aim is to eliminate danger and protect the goal as the priority.

Lewey got on the score sheet after good all round worf from tommy to win the ball and slip him in. Composed finish that we have come to expect.

We kept the ball for long periods and with no subs versus a squad of 9, this was the right idea.

A hand squeeze after the game from a horrible little 5h1t and a bit of name calling just fired us up and pushed us to make th most of the chance to claim our first back to back wins on a match day. Perfect scene has been set

2nd game

They shifted their personnel about but they were still not a match for us. We dominated the game and after dropping Ben back to his comfort zone of defence and James playing in their for the first time it freed Lewey and Aidan up to go forward.

A number of massive challenges going in all over the park and after Aidan wriggled through 2 players and came out with the ball he drove towards the goal, switched the ball to his opposite winger Lewey and he drove the ball across the area for Tommy to strike. He was nsetling in the corner until their defender managed to get a hand on it. I wasn't gonna blow but their coach called the penalty my mind was made up (that and Tommy looking at me as if to say 'if you dont give that penalty i wont play anymore' I had no choice lol.

Lewey sashed past the keeper, who in all fairness was quality in both games. We held our nerve and put in a mature performance to keep a clean sheet, 2 wins and a massive celebration at the final whistle ensued.

A shout out to Jake, who although didn't have many saves to make, made some key decisions to close down (especially when they had a chance to equalise near the end) and also with some great distribution.

Well done lads, really proud coach today after a super performance
