Home cup match played on 14 December 2014.
Kicked off at 1:00 PM

With a massive 18 goals scored between the 2 teams, City welcome Omerta at home yet again this time in League Cup Quarterfinals. City came mentally prepared with the previous scoreline of 6-5 in favour of the home side, Omerta knew what they might have in stored for the defiant City squad.

With a change formation of 3-5-2 which display a more attacking shape, City deployed Fudin between the sticks with the 3 central backs of Xavier, Eddy and Fred.

In midfield, the 4 battlers of Anon, Indra, captain of the match Riz and Ahmad was task to neutralize Omerta's advance leaving Duncan free to play behind the two main strikers of Ryan Sufiyan and Gabir Nabil.

On the bench, a talented one as Aleef, Ridwan, Airul, Syam and Hafiz to be called upon.

Omerta's start to the game was seen rather lax and it was City who drew first blood when Anon who was nursing a niggling groin strain skips past a player before releasing Gabir for his 20th goal of the season in the 11th min.

It was getting too easy as opponent lack of communication leads to the second goal. Duncan had acres of space, dance himself in the box before stroking it to Riz who slotted it past the goalkeeper.

Omerta tried to fight back but they lack firepower upfront where Fred was outstanding leading the back three.

Aleef was brought on for the exhausted Ryan to shut the door at the back.

Halftime stays at 2-0. Changes at halftime saw Riz and Anon making way for Syam and Airul and within 3 min of the restart, Syam sends a wonder through pass for Gabir who finishes off with style.

With 3-0 up, Eddy was substitute with Hafiz taking his place and Ridwan coming on for Xavier who had taken a knock. Again City revert to 3-4-3 formation, with Ridwan, Airul and Gabir leading the attack. Its seem that Ridwan wants to wrap up the match quickly and he got his prayers answered when Airul dazzles his way past 2 defenders before being brought down by the last man. Penalty!

Airul dust himself off to put City 4-0 up from the spot. 6min later, it was game set and match when Gabir completes his hattrick with another magical assist from Duncan to make it 5-0.

City had another penalty claim turn down when Ridwan latched on Airul's pass nicks it past the same central back who brought down Airul earlier but referee deem his obstruction was a fair one.

It was 6 in the 72nd min when Airul's initial shot was parried but a quick thinking by Ridwan who kept the ball in play, looks up and sends a delicate cross to Airul which deceived the goalkeeper bounces off the despair defender for an own goal.

It was the final nail in the coffin 10 mins from time when Airul added his second of the night yet again off Syam's telling pass who then lobs the goalkeeper to secured another 7-0 win in a cup match. It was a great day as City moved on to the semis.

"It was a wake up call for us from the previous game. In this season we had to come back twice from a game. One game which secured second in the table. We don't want that to happen again that is why we played flowing attacking football from the first whistle. This is the second time we scored seven without reply where the first came against Starscream FC in the group stages. The lads put in a different show today and this cup means everything to them and they would definitely want to finish the season with a bang. I'm elated with them. Now everyone has to keep the momentum going. We have 3:1 chance of winning the League Cup this season."

- City head coach, Ridwan
