Chestercity FC fresh from their weekend postponed game face Sundae Boulevard on a heavy downpour at Bedok North Secondary.

Still winless from their 4 games, City would want to put their worst start of the season away with a good performance against the team who are in the top half of the table. Sundae Boulevard have just signed Teban Thunder's captain Hidayat but the midfielder was unavailable for the match as he watched his new teammates on the sidelines.

Before the game, defensive midfielder Kim Sun was named September's Player of the Month.

City had 16 players on board, starting the match with Ronnie in goal, Xavier kept his place at right back, Fred at left back and Aleef partnering Parry at the heart of defence. Captain Ryan was named at right wing, Naufal on the left while appointing 2 holding midfielders in Indra and Kim while a rare start for Sze Wei partnering Irwan in attack. On the bench, City re-sign Jeremiah Powluse placing him on the subtitute bench with Tam, Hafiz and Eddy. Zahrul Bahri who had a last minute called up, was missing.

City started the match brightly containing Sundae Boulevard at bay. Both teams had a couple of chances with City coming close in a a few attempts.

Sundae Boulevard also had a sniffs at goal but was unable to make it count due to the pitch's conditions.

It was stalemate at halftime.

City did not make any changes at halftime.

A minute after the restart, Boulevard scores, Ronnie make a save from the initial attempt but was unable to stop the second shot as it crept low to the bottom right hand post. 1-0.

City sprung straight away. Naufal saw a freekick hitting the post while a few decent chance was not capitalised. Jeremiah was then brought on for his first start as the new number 9 and suddenly the game change shift. Jeremiah causing problems to Boulevard's defence and of all a sudden City equalised. Subtituted Eddy was released on the left, sends a low cross which skips the boot of the defender giving Jeremiah the chance to pounce on the loose ball to score City's equaliser.

City went for the onslaught but it was Boulevard who scored their second of the game. The pitch was the major factor in the goal as City lost possesion and the striker digs it over the onrushing Ronnie. Then it was all over, the pitch again was helping Boulevard to cement their win when it bobbles of City's defender and the forward shoots an unstoppable shot to the roof of the net making the final whistle 3-1. Ay the end of the match, a bust up between City's defender Tam and coach Ridwan marred an ugly scene. Tam was hashed away by fellow teamates.

Captain Ryan commented after the game, "We played a very good first half. The performance by the players was incredible but in the end we crumbled in the second half. Miah's goal really lifted our spirits. We should have drawn or even won this game but yet again we failed."

When ask about post match incident," Well simply said that we all are unhappy about the loss. We know what the coach is doing, he is trying hard to change tactics to win. We can voice our concerns and give suggestions but in the end its all up to him. He is the coach and we can't possibly tell him what to do. That's disrespectful but I'm sure the guys will bounce back from this game."

Player of the Month, Kim Sun added, "Its a tough battle between the two teams. We gave them a run for their money. 0-0 at halftime was a good results. We knew we could get something from the game but we failed. We need to focus right away. Everyone knows they want to win badly but what happened after the match was a little disappointment, in regards to the lost, no one is happy to be on the losing side but we need to know where we stand before reacting and its sad to see what has happened."
