Christchurch FC Panthers travelled to The Blandford School on 21 September 2025 for an early morning 10:00am kick-off in their League Cup tie against Blandford United Youth U16 Youth. The Panthers produced a stunning attacking display to run out 13-1 winners in an emphatic away victory over their youthful opponents. Referee Glenn Paterson oversaw the 80-minute contest with added time, maintaining control throughout with a performance worthy of praise.
The Panthers wasted little time asserting their dominance as Henri Day’s precise delivery found Jamie Moore inside the box in the 8th minute, who calmly finished to open the scoring. This early goal set the tone for a relentless attacking onslaught. Blandford United Youth struggled to contain the Panthers’ fluid movement and incisive passing.
As the first half progressed, Henri Day continued to influence proceedings from the left. His assist to Emilio Parandian in the 30th minute doubled the lead with another composed finish inside the box. Seven minutes later, Parandian returned the favour by setting up Rafael Maggiora, who made a surging run from left back to slot home the third goal. The Panthers’ attacking threat was multifaceted, with defenders joining the attack and midfielders supporting the front line.
At the 40-minute mark, the half-time whistle arrived with the Panthers comfortably ahead 3-0.
Just two minutes into the second half, Henri Day scored his first goal of the match, assisted by Rafael Maggiora, who was proving to be a key creative force from left back. Shortly after, Finley Everett replaced central defender Aaron Scullion at the 45th minute, further shoring up the defence as the Panthers looked to control the game.
The scoring continued unabated as Dominik Chudy netted in the 49th minute, assisted by the returning Daniel Goodson’s predecessor Parandian, who had been withdrawn but whose influence lingered. Goodson quickly made his mark by scoring in the 50th minute, again assisted by Maggiora, who was instrumental in orchestrating attacks from the left flank.
Josh Akpagbula then added to the tally in the 53rd minute with a goal set up by Maggiora, highlighting the latter’s exceptional contribution to the Panthers’ offensive play. The goal-scoring spree showed no signs of slowing as Jamie Moore scored again in the 58th minute, this time assisted by Akpagbula, demonstrating the fluid interplay among the attacking players.
However, the game briefly paused for a yellow card shown to Josh Akpagbula for a bad tackle, a rare moment of disciplinary action in an otherwise dominant display.
The Panthers quickly returned to their scoring ways with Rafael Maggiora himself finding the net in the 62nd minute, assisted by James Adams, showcasing the defenders’ ability to contribute goals. Jamie Moore then produced a solo goal in the 63rd minute, weaving through the defence to extend the lead further.
Henri Day continued his impressive performance by scoring again in the 66th minute, this time assisted by Moore, highlighting the strong partnership between the striker and the left forward. The goal rush continued as Moore scored yet again in the 69th minute, assisted by substitute Daniel Goodson, who had seamlessly integrated into the team.
Josh Akpagbula added a late goal in the 75th minute, assisted by Parandian, rounding off a remarkable attacking display. Blandford United Youth managed a consolation goal in the 78th minute, scoring inside the box, but it was scant reward against the Panthers’ overwhelming superiority.
Rafael Maggiora was deservedly named player of the match for his outstanding all-round performance, contributing goals, assists, and defensive solidity. The Panthers’ comprehensive 13-1 victory was a testament to their attacking prowess, tactical flexibility, and clinical finishing on the road.
