Home league match played on 04 September 2016.
Kicked off at 2:15 PM

Our Beacon league campaign got off to a flyer with an 11-1 win over Wyrley Targaryens.
Craig Beale pulled off an outstanding early save, tipping a shot onto the bar from close range. Following that early scare, Claregate moved up a few gears and really started to play well. The scoring started in the 15th minute where a Nathan Garratt freekick on the right was finished by Marc "Tommo" Thomas from 10 yards with his right foot.
The 2nd goal was scored by Rodney "Trotter" Williams running onto a Tommo pass to drill his finish inside the keeper's near post on 21 minutes.
The 3rd and final goal of the 1st half came on 37 minutes Kev Haughton raced onto a through ball by Andrae Brown to tuck his effort away past a stranded keeper.
The 2nd half Claregate really showed their attacking prowess and ensured there was no way back for Wyrley. Trotter netted his 2nd of the game on 51 minutes after some good passing from Andrae Brown who found Kev Haughton in space, Kev then drilled a low cross to the far post where Trotter slid in to rifle his goal into the roof of the net.
On 55 minutes, Trotter this time turned provider with a cross from the left for Jon Wilson to nod home.
Jon Wilson then scored his 2nd on 60 minutes with easily the pick of the goals. A good team passing move found Jon near the right hand corner flag and with some Messi-esque skill, stepped over the ball and nutmegged the defender before beating 3 more inside the box and his left foot finish found the inside of the far post.
Trotter scored his hat-trick goal on 62 minutes after Nathan's clearance bounced behind the Wyrley back line for Trotter to race onto and lob the keeper from 20 yards.
Dale Elliott scored his 1st ever goal for Claregate with a bullet header from a Sam "Woppy" Wapshott corner on 74 minutes.
Nathan Garratt then found himself on the right wing and drilled in a low cross only for the keeper to turn it into his own net on 78 minutes.
Kev Haughton then made it 10 with his 2nd goal of the game a minute later on 79 minutes after sub Ste Cater's effort was saved by the keeper only for Kev to tuck away the rebound. Wyrley pulled back a late goal but skipper Woppy rounded off the goals on 84 minutes after racing on to a Jon Wilson through ball to rifle home his finish from 15 yards.
A superb effort from everyone but Trotter won MOTM with his clinical attacking ability. Other players involved from the bench were Ste Cater, Adam Goode and Josh Hodson.
