Home league match played on 14 March 2010.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

On what was a bright sunday morning at the stadia ala narborough the canes turned up with a mish mashed squad but still in good spirits of getting a victory against a team who a mysterious spy called "SHIT".

The canes started with a few returning players from injury, visa problems and just sheer lazyness. Which was a hint of luck with 4 normal 1st team regulars away for one reason or another.

Nicholls, Clarke and Clow all returning to the fold meant that places had to be shuffled around to accomodate them.

The game kicked off at quite a slow pace with both teams giving away possesion easily and no one really managing to grab the game by the scruff of the neck.

The first chance of the game came to the horse forwards who after the hurricanes defence being undone by a ball over the top, the forward raced onto the ball and cut it back across goal for his strike partner only to see him put it over the bar from 1yrd out ala kanu style in his wba hey day.

This perked the canes up and with some nice 1 touch passing involving Foweather, clarke and mcnulty saw them open a few chances down the wing.

The first goal of the game came midway through the first half with a fine run from midfield by soon to be dad mitchell conway resulted in a cross across the goal for awaiting marksman mcnulty to slot home.

But no sooner had the canes took the lead then horse gallopped up the field 5 mins after the restart to once again try to take advantage of a hurricanes defensive blunder but this time the forward took his chance and slotted past the on rushing keeper.

After that the resulting 10 mins involved a lot of long balls from both teams trying to catch each other out. But with the half drawing close the ball was once again fed from back to front. Starting off with the puppeteer from the back foweather picking out clarke in centre midfield who in turn found mcnulty on the edge of the area. Mcnulty managed to hold the ball up just in time for on rushing midfielder adam taylor to join the attack. With shouts of GUAPA from the crowd mcnulty dragged the ball back through his legs Cruyff style into the path of taylor who was felled in the box by the horse defender. Taylor picked himself up dusted himself off and slotted the ball into the bottom right corner just evading the horse keepers fingers.

HT score 2-1 canes

2nd half kicked off with the canes looking to put this team to bed but something must have happened at half time and the canes collapsed and conceeded 3 goals without any reply. Shit 2nd half Shit performance nuff said

Although 2 blatant penalties were missed by the ref who looked uncanningly like a leicester accies player? Is this allowed in our division? Surely an opposing member of a team in the same division can't surely ref a game in that league? Are these questions which the league will have to answer to? One good note to this was that he never actually got paid as he just wandered off after the game.

Hurricanes have the chance for a slight bit of revenge on mr crane the ref as his accies side travel to Narborough after his spying mission this weekend.

The hurricanes need to pick themselves up after 2 consecutive league defeats if they are to finish the season on a high.
