Crime FC hosted MMC Boyz at the Khan Indoor Sports Centre in Sylhet on 30 April 2026, with kick-off at 11:00am in a fast-paced 7-a-side friendly match lasting 50 minutes plus added time. The encounter ended in a narrow 6-5 victory for MMC Boyz after a pulsating contest that saw both sides trade goals in abundance.
Crime FC lined up in a 2-3-1 formation, deploying two central defenders, three midfielders across the left, central and right channels, and a lone striker up front. Md. Tanjim guarded the goal, supported at the back by central defenders Md. Nishad Elias and Muhammad Ahnaf. The midfield trio consisted of Istiak Haque on the left, Imtiaz Ahmed Kawsar centrally, and Olid Ahmed on the right, with Mazharul Islam leading the line as the striker. This setup was designed to provide defensive solidity through the centre while allowing the midfielders to support both attack and defence, with the wide midfielders expected to supply crosses and create chances for the striker. Sabbir Hossen was named on the bench as the sole substitute.
The match burst into life early on as Crime FC took the lead in the 4th minute. Imtiaz Ahmed Kawsar found the net after a precise assist from left midfielder Istiak Haque, who had cleverly exploited space on the flank to deliver a well-weighted pass. Five minutes later, Crime FC doubled their advantage when Istiak Haque himself scored, this time assisted by striker Mazharul Islam, who showed excellent vision to pick out his teammate in a dangerous position.
However, MMC Boyz responded with a strong spell of attacking play, pulling a goal back in the 14th minute. Their momentum continued as they scored again in the 19th and 23rd minutes, turning the game on its head and taking a 3-2 lead. Crime FC struggled to contain their opponents’ attacking threat during this period, with the MMC Boyz forwards finding gaps in the defence.
The first half concluded at the 25-minute mark, but MMC Boyz were not finished yet. They extended their lead further with a fourth goal in the 28th minute. Crime FC fought back immediately, with Mazharul Islam restoring hope by scoring in the 32nd minute, assisted once again by the industrious Istiak Haque, who was proving a constant menace down the left.
The MMC Boyz struck back swiftly, netting their fifth goal just a minute later, maintaining their slender advantage. Shortly after, in the 34th minute, Crime FC were forced into a substitution due to injury as Sabbir Hossen replaced central defender Muhammad Ahnaf, a change that disrupted their defensive rhythm.
Crime FC continued to press forward and were rewarded in the 37th and 42nd minutes when Imtiaz Ahmed Kawsar scored his second and third goal of the match and made his first hat-trick, and this time set up by striker Mazharul Islam and right midfielder Olid Ahmed, who had been active in supporting attacks from the flank. The goal narrowed the deficit to 5-4 and reignited Crime FC’s hopes of a comeback.
Despite their efforts, MMC Boyz sealed the victory with a sixth goal in the 47th minute, just before the final whistle. The match ended 6-5 in favour of MMC Boyz, a thrilling encounter that showcased attacking flair and resilience from both sides.
Crime FC’s 2-3-1 formation allowed for fluid attacking interplay, particularly down the wings, with Istiak Haque and Olid Ahmed providing key assists. The central midfield presence of Imtiaz Ahmed Kawsar was crucial, contributing two goals himself. Defensively, the injury to Muhammad Ahnaf and subsequent substitution appeared to unsettle the backline at a critical stage. MMC Boyz capitalised on these moments to edge ahead and secure the narrow win in this entertaining friendly at the Khan Indoor Sports Centre.
