Home league match played on 19 January 2014.
Kicked off at 10:00 AM

2 minutes extra time played.

This was a game that Postal needed put in a good performance after that shocking result last week.

A debut for new signing Andy Yuill (Goalkeeper) with possible 2nd appearances for Shaun Doyley and Alex McGowan.

Postal started by controlling the game without to much trouble from the opposition who soaked up the pressure.

Postal debutant Andy Yuill impressed in goal with several brave takes as he dived at the feet of the on coming forwards to snatch up easy pickings on several occasions.

Several chances fell to the Postal Players without our strikers taking them.

The game seemed to turn after around after 30 mins as its looked like Postal ran out of ideas and the South Utd players capitalized on this with a goal out of nothing from their left wing as their brushed passed the Postal (RB) John Campbell which gave them an easy opening goal after 39th min.

Postal again struggled to get hold after the game after the goal and went in at HT time disappointed.

The 2nd half started as the 1st ended and Postal couldn't gt hold of the game while been pounded by the South Utd's attack time and time again.

John Campbell's game ended with him being subbed and replaced by Daniel Rowe.

Rowe added a bit of energy to the right side of the pitch however, after a short ball out from the goal keeper to Rowe which was closed down quickly by the South attack and in turn lead to Rowe kicking the ball out for a corner.

From the resulting corner, a South player lost his marker to cause a scramble in the box which lead to Postal going 2-0 down with just under an hour gone.

The Postal Co. Manager Duane Jack's patience was finally broken and certain changes was put into place.

Duane Jack (Postal’s Top Goal Scorer) entered the game replacing Gavin Linehan and instantly made a difference where he won the ball on the left and played the ball to Sam Caillaux which ended with Postal having their 1st attempt on goal for a while.

We also made another change with the evergreen Dale Wiggins being replaced for the first time this season by Alex (Lex) McGowan and a formation change of 442 was implemented with Tom Gordon moving to the right wing and Desmond (Dessie) Noble joining Jack upfront.

Postal now changed their play to direct football and the next attack lead to a corner for Postal which was taken by Tom Gordon who hit a great cross into the box and Jack finished with a strong header into the top corner of the goal on the 64th min

GAME ON!!!!

Postal carried on the onslaught with chance after chance but desperate defending and narrow misses kept the score at 2-1 to South.

Dessie won a free kick on 77th min which was taken by Gordon which flew directly into the top corner of the South Utd's net which brought the game level.

Postal was now throwing everything they had at the South defense who hadn’t been out of their half since the formation change.

The South defense were now panicking as every time they had the ball it went long and straight back to Postal who launched attack after attack but couldn’t get the ball into the back of the net.

The final chance came from a delightful cross from Dessie after a quick free kick which was swung into Jack who rose with the opposition keeper in an attempt to get to the ball first of which he did as the keepers fits connected with his head the ball just grazed the top of the cross bar.

So Close But So Far!

The game ended 2 all and that continues Postal's win drought which now stands at 4 games.
