Home league match played on 20 October 2012.
Kicked off at 2:00 PM

CS were looking to make it 5 out of 5. CS started brightly and created a few early chances.

Henderson had a chance cleared off the line early on and was unlucky not to put CS in to the lead. A few minutes later, Meacher rattled the post with a glorious shot after Henderson had charged down the Baptista's keeper. From the follow up Quinn blasted the ball straight at the keeper, who pulled off a magnificent save without knowing about it.

CS continued to pile on the pressure and Meacher got the ball in the back of the net, only for the ref to fail to play advantage and give an earlier free kick. By this time Lewis was scrapping with their number 5, who last season got sent off. Williams had a shot cleared off the line after beating the keeper. Baptistas did have a chance or two of their own and they rattled the cross bar and Vass had to pull off a magnificant save when the number 9 was clean threw.

GOAL : Then after 30 mins CS got the break threw they deserved. Rowan won a defensive header by beating 2 of the opposition to the ball, Porter then ran on to the header and made a run down the right wing and put in a low cross for Quinn to get on the end of and put CS in to the lead. Ward put in a big effort in the first half and with his pace was chasing down all efforts and causing the Baptisata's left back all kinds of trouble. Gabb was again a giant in the air and kept their impressive number 9 quiet.

Half Time 1-0

The second half was pretty much the same - CS dominated and the only chances Baptisata's got were from the CS mistakes!

Early on Lewis burst in to the box and was chopped down, after the game the ref said "it was 50/50, sometimes you give 'em, sometimes you don't". Meacher was continuing to give the right back problems and shouts of "everytime" were to be heard often!

Inwood hit an amazing volley after a great cross from Meacher, the ball ending up inches wide. Henderson burst through from some stylish play from CS only for the ball to hit the side netting.

GOAL : Then on 60 minutes, Smythe saw himself pick up the ball at right back and found himself drifting in field and after some nice play from Williams and Quinn, found himself 40 yards out and he hit a screamer that went in the top corner. A certain contender for goal of the season.

Porter continued to dominate in the air and more chances were created. Loveridge was brought on to help out the flagging Smythe in the last 20 minutes, Loveridge started to show the class that he is.

It has to be mentioned that Rowan, Gabb and Vass did their best to tarnish an amazing defensive CS record! Rowan tried a dodgy header back to Vass, which went passed the out coming keeper! Gabb did the softest of back passes to Vass, who had to come out and throw himself at the ball. Vass had a rush of blood to the head and decided to take on the striker, only to lose out to him - Gabb cleared off the line!

In the last few minutes Vass pulled off a great save, only to be delivered a dead leg, Hurdidge came on for 5 minutes and pulled off a cracking save, to ensure that CS had another clean sheet.
