DABOYSFC faced off against Prayer Warriors FC in a gripping tournament match at Eldorado Park Extension 6 on 22 June 2025, with the home side emerging victorious with a scoreline of 3-2. The match kicked off at 3:00pm and drew an enthusiastic crowd of 50 supporters, who were treated to a rollercoaster of emotions throughout the 90 minutes.

DABOYSFC lined up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, designed to provide a solid defensive base while allowing for fluid attacking play. Kashwin Obermeyer took his position in goal, shielded by a back four consisting of Ridwaan Rubidge on the right, Alanzo McKenzie and Tyson Bowers in central defence, and Reese Mathee on the left. In front of them, the double pivot of Denzel Russell and Neillan Abrahams was tasked with controlling the midfield, while Nathaniel Ferguson and Leevin Zacheus operated as right and left attacking midfielders respectively, supporting the central figure of Warren Meyers. Leading the line was striker Suhail De Koker, expected to capitalise on any chances created.

The substitutes for DABOYSFC included Dejuanne Abdullah, Nazeem Ely, Jaden Gentle, and Lonwabo Ntsini, who would be called upon to make an impact as the match unfolded.

The match began with both teams probing for weaknesses, but it was DABOYSFC who struck first in the 22nd minute. Suhail De Koker found the back of the net following a chaotic goalmouth scramble, sending the home fans into raptures. However, the lead was short-lived as Prayer Warriors FC responded almost immediately, equalising just a minute later, showcasing their resilience.

As the first half progressed, tensions rose, and the referee brandished yellow cards to two players from Prayer Warriors FC in quick succession, the first for a general foul in the 37th minute, followed by a second for a bad tackle just a minute later. DABOYSFC's Ridwaan Rubidge was forced off due to injury in the 44th minute, making way for Dejuanne Abdullah, just before the half-time whistle.

In a dramatic end to the first half, Alanzo McKenzie converted a penalty in the 45th minute, restoring DABOYSFC's lead and sending them into the break with a 2-1 advantage.

The second half saw DABOYSFC make an early substitution, with Nazeem Ely replacing Denzel Russell. The match continued to be fiercely contested, and just a minute after the substitution, McKenzie received a yellow card for dissent, adding to the growing tension on the pitch.

As the game wore on, DABOYSFC made further changes, introducing Jaden Gentle for Leevin Zacheus in the 66th minute, followed by Lonwabo Ntsini coming on for Warren Meyers in the 74th minute. The tactical adjustments paid off when Nathaniel Ferguson scored in the 79th minute, assisted by Gentle, extending DABOYSFC's lead to 3-1.

Despite the two-goal deficit, Prayer Warriors FC refused to back down and managed to pull one back in the dying moments of the match, scoring in the 90th minute to make it 3-2. The late goal set up a tense finish, but DABOYSFC held firm to secure the victory.

Nathaniel Ferguson's standout performance earned him the accolade of Player of the Match, as he played a pivotal role in both midfield control and goal-scoring. The match concluded with DABOYSFC celebrating a hard-fought win, a testament to their determination and skill on the pitch.
