Here come bad news talking this and that....

Well give me all you got and don't hold it back, yeah

Well I should probably warn you I'll be just fine , yeah

No offence to you , don't waste your time

Here's why ................The Squirrel is BACK !! 8 goals for the babyfaced little Sciuridae in our last two games for Ben Wilson as we booked our passage into the the third round of the John Rochell Cup , trouncing much improved Real Brittannia with a convincing victory in this 10 goal thriller. A beautiful morning beckoned, Rowley Bonk providing the magnificent backdrop with gorgeous blue skies burning through the early morning Blackheath mist . Our squad , despite being down to just 14, looked in mean fettle and manager Baz in optimistic mood . In terms of possession, we once again dominated, but our opponents Real Britannia had their own ideas and had two very quick front players. Despite our control we looked exposed to the counter attack time after time and unlike the last game looked disjointed at the back. We did however take the lead when Anton nodded a set piece across the face of goal for the Squirrel to pounce . Britannia kept threatening and made us pay for our defensive lapses with 3 well taken goals in 20 minutes ,our grey headed manager in disbelief regarding our defensive calamity . For some strange reason our opponents became a little bit cocky on the field and began to argue between themselves despite their excellent counter attacking ploy . Just before half time we claimed a crucial second. Acker put Wilson through to put us back in with a shout sending us only 2-3 down to have a half time conflaboration . We thankfully all agreed that it was time to start to stick to basics at the back and work to press them a bit and as soon as we came out second half their was only one winner. The home side had little to offer and injuries to their better players dealt the end of the cup run for them . In contrast The Squirrel scurried around the penalty box to swiftly despatch anything that came his way as he added a further goal pretty sharply after the interval . Coop came on to add energy to our thrusts and pretty quickly caused chaos down the left , both creating another for Squizza and scoring himself . Anton had a tremendous game in centre midfield ...and won every aerial battle to add to his assist . The defence I have to say produced the opposite to the first half performance and were quality , despite almost letting in our opponents for a consolation , Ricky Owen saving us with a stunning stop. The Squirrel grabbed yet another (assisted by Acker) to make it six and the rout was completed with a stunning strike from Dane Hurley . Even assistant manager managed somehow to get a run , controversially undermining Bazzes authority with a unilateral decision to sub off Tom Brettle for himself . With typically astute calmness Baz showed little emotion despite wanting to strangle the little shit and has decided to wait for the Warley Disciplinary Committee decision on the length of Lloyds ban . Back to League fixtures next week and two Sundays on the bounce at Hydes Rd ! BAZZZZINNNNNN !!
