Home league match played on 03 October 2010.
Kicked off at 10:45 AM

The headline says it all really, our performance against Imperium on Sunday was nothing short of brilliant, total domination in all areas of the park and a performance to remember from the front two.

Plumb & Savage showing us what they are capable of from the very first kick of the game, our intentions were clear from the start as 29secs into the game it was 1-0, as the ball was fed to Sav from Plumb and thundered into the net for Sav to score the first of 4 excellent first half team goals. Eddie added the 2nd on 18mins after more good work from Plumb, who also set up the 3rd goal for Sav on 27mins with great work robbing the defender out wide right, another good finish from Sav made it 4-0 after Plumbs good work on the left - our attacks were frequent, from all directions and we looked like scoring on every ocassion, we made more chances in the first 15mins than we did the whole of last week.

Plumb setting up all four goals in an extraordinary first half performance. Rich completing his hat-trick on 38 mins. 4-0 up and in complete control. Our defence were completely in control too, brilliantly marshalled by Graham and Dave in goal had hardly had a touch. The midfield were swarming all over the pitch and eager for the ball - their best player forced to play a number of positions in an attempt to fill the holes we were creating all over the pitch - he had his work cut out and got no help from his team mates.

Half time came and with the job only half done, we were trying not to get too carried away and in effect only in control of the scoreline, the result was not complete. We needed to show the same control and application in the 2nd half so not to throw away our hard work.

Within 5 mins of the restart it was 5-0 as good work from Nath squared the ball to Sav for his 4th of the game, Imperium found themselves on the score sheet next as a freekick was spilt be Dave straight into the oppo players path who couldnt miss from 2 yds. Fleet then immediately restored their 5 goal cushion as, in my opinion, the goal of the game was scored, a brilliant move as Sam found Nath who arced a fantastic 50yd pass straight onto Plumbs foot, with instant control the ball was out of his feet, which wrong-footed the defender and with the next touch it was in the far corner of the goal. A brilliant goal. Soon after All 3 subs were made as Craig, Mick and Hambo all entered the pitch, Mark, Eddie & Plumb all taking a well earned rest for the final half an hour - their work very much done. Hambo got on the score sheet too, as we scored the 7th in an excellent team display. From an Imperium corner, the ball was played out to Rich on the edge of our area, who turned away, strode forward about 2-3meters and then delivered a quality through ball for Hambo to outrun the flagging defence, as he gathered the ball cutting in from the right he moved directly towards goal beating the keeper at the near post with a fierce shot, another excellent goal. 7-1 and our revenge was complete.

An excellent team performance. Well done all.
