Extreme FC travelled to Nairobi on 15 February 2026 to face Black Warriors in a friendly 11-a-side encounter, kicking off at midday. The match ended in a 2-1 defeat for Extreme FC after a competitive 90 minutes plus injury time.

Deploying a 4-3-3 formation, Extreme FC lined up with Johnte RB in goal, flanked by Tony LB at right back and Erick WF at left back. The central defensive partnership consisted of Iddi CB and Reagan CB, tasked with maintaining solidity at the back. In midfield, Diego Kipyegon operated on the right, Zim held the central midfield role, and Manu occupied the left midfield position. Up front, the attacking trio featured Josh AM on the right wing, Tom Escobar leading as striker, and Deno Mayacan on the left wing. The substitutes named were Frank Makori and Hillary Alaka.

The 4-3-3 setup was designed to balance defensive stability with attacking width, expecting the full-backs to support wide play while the midfield trio controlled possession and linked with the front three. Diego Kipyegon and Manu were expected to provide creativity and supply to the forwards, while Zim’s role was to anchor the midfield and break up opposition attacks.

The match began with Black Warriors asserting early pressure, and their efforts paid off in the 25th minute when they broke the deadlock. A well-worked move culminated in a right-footed finish inside the box, leaving Johnte RB with little chance. Extreme FC responded with increased urgency and were awarded a penalty just before the interval. Diego Kipyegon confidently stepped up and converted from close range with his right foot, restoring parity at 1-1 by the 40th minute.

The first half concluded with both sides level, setting up an intriguing second period. However, Black Warriors regained the lead shortly after the break in the 55th minute. Their goal came from outside the box, a powerful right-footed strike that found the net beyond Johnte RB’s reach. This long-range effort proved decisive in the match.

Shortly after conceding, Extreme FC were forced into an early substitution due to injury. Manu, the left midfielder, was replaced by Frank Makori in the 57th minute, which slightly altered the team’s dynamics on the left flank. The visitors continued to press for an equaliser but struggled to break down a resolute Black Warriors defence.

In the 70th minute, Extreme FC made a tactical change, withdrawing striker Tom Escobar in favour of Hillary Alaka. This switch aimed to inject fresh energy and creativity into the attack as they searched for an equaliser. Despite some promising moments, Extreme FC were unable to find the back of the net again.

Black Warriors held firm to secure a 2-1 victory in this friendly encounter, leaving Extreme FC to reflect on missed opportunities and defensive lapses. The match showcased moments of quality from both sides, with Diego Kipyegon’s penalty goal a highlight for the visitors. However, the home side’s clinical finishing ultimately made the difference on the day.
