Away league match played on 12 April 2015.
Kicked off at 10:00 AM

Facelad played JRL on what
looked to be the biggest game of their season so far. They set up in a formation that is becoming more and more familiar to both players and fans alike, 3-2-4-1.
From the kick off Facelad looked really fired up for the game but perhaps this and a bobbly pitch caused them to struggle to find their short passing game. Their defensive ability however was shining as JRL struggled to find a way through bar from a couple headed opportunities from set pieces. At around 10 minutes played Facelad won a free kick around 30 yards from goal, Alderman was implored to go for goal and after some deliberation came an incredible strike from Alderman. Bent into the top left hand corner with with enough power to give the keeper no chance. 1-0 and a goal of the season contender! Their confidence grew after that in a stop start game due to a lot of fouls. Facelad found themselves using one of these when the referee awarded them a free kick high up their right wing. Club top scorer O'Brien stood over it and whipped a very good ball into the JRL box and centre half Shaw got up well with a backwards header that hit the upright. A very good effort, unlucky lad! The game saw chances hard to come by but some good high pressure from Southgate saw Facelad score again. He dismissed the right back not far from the edge of the JRL box, he then attempted an audacious lob that hit the bar again but fortunately O'Brien was there for the rebound and headed into the net. 2-0 and it remained at this scoreline till halftime.

The second half kicked off with the first 10 minutes seeming to play out in a similar fashion but this was not to be the case. Around 65 minutes in Facelad once again looked impossible to break through in open play and gave JRL another corner. This proves to be the beginning of the end as a corner to the back post saw the ball go through numerous players and surprise Barton enough for him to only be able to chest the ball. Unfortunately before he could clear a JRL player flicked the ball into the 6 yard box and it was punted in at close range. Shortly after this the player voted by the fans this month as signing of the season Shaw had to come off with a knee injury and was replaced by Grimes. Facelad's fortunes did not improve as a throw in from JRL's right caused big problems as it was thrown into the box to their star player Spears, he rolled Coffer crossed the ball which was hit into the crossbar. JRL received the bit of luck you need to be champions as the rebound fell to Spears and he headed home. Muir was tantalisingly close to saving and was visibly distraught, unlucky lad. This saw a change in Facelad's tactics as they swapped Alderman into CM with Barton and Knotty. Slipping Southgate into CB. For a ten minute spell they looked like they could get a winner as their short game improved and some tidy link up play from Clynes and Alderman down the left nearly saw a breakthrough. However this hope was short lived, with 5 minutes to play JRL won a free kick which was hit into the Facelad box. Knotty seemed to misjudge the flight as it went passed him and no one got close to a player who was able to kick the ball home near the penalty spot. Agony and heartbreak for Facelad again as some begin to question their bottle on the big occasions.

3-2 JRL
