Away cup match played on 22 April 2012.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

WITH FREEMANS IN THERE FIRST EVER CUP FINAL IT WAS GOING TO BE AN MEMORABLE OCCASION.WITH THE LADS IN VERY GOOD SPIRIT BEFORE KICK OFF THERE WAS NO DOUBT IN THE MANAGERS MIND THAT THE PLAYERS WERE UP FOR IT.IN A RAIN SOCKED SUNDAY MORNING AND A CROWD OF 220 TURNING UP TO WATCH THE MATCH YOU COULD FEEL THE TENSION IN THE AIR WITH BOATHOUSE WINNING THE KICK OFF AND KICKING RIGHT TO LEFT GOT IN THERE STRIDE AND SOON STARTED TO CONTROL THE FLOW OF THE GAME AND NEARLY GOT THERE GOAL WHEN A MISTAKE FROM GAUNTLETT NEARLY LET IN THE STRIKER BUT THE BALL WAS SCRAMBLED AWAY FROM THE DEFENCE FREEMANS COULD NOT GET IN THERE STRIDE AND THE INFLUENTIAL S.TALBOT WAS BEING MORE ISOLATED AS THE GAME WENT ON AND THEN DISASTER STRUCK WHEN A GREAT BALL PUMPED IN THE BOX FROM THE BOATHOUSE MIDFIELD WAS MET FROM THE STRIKER HOW FINISHED VERY WELL TO VOLLEY BALL IN THE BACK OF THE NET.1-0 BOATHOUSE FREEMANS WERE NOT AT THE RACES BUT HAD A GREAT CHANCE TO GET AN EQUALISER MINUTES LATER WHEN DALE PICKED UP A LOSE BALL 20 YARDS OUT AND HIT A GREAT VOLLEY THAT SMASHED AGAINST THE CROSSBAR AND OUT WHAT A SHOT.FREEMANS SLOWLY STARTED TO GET IN THE GAME MORE WHEN A GREAT BALL FROM O:CLEARLY FOUND SHEATH ON WHO BURST IN TO THE BOX ONLY FOR HIS FIRST TOUCH TO LET HIM DOWN AND THE KEEPER MANAGER TO GET DOWN WELL TO HOLD ON TO THE BALL.WITH-OUT ANYMORE CLEAR CUT CHANCES BOTH SIDES WENT IN A HALF TIME

WITH CHANGES MADE AND A DIFFERENT FORMATION FREEMANS WENT ON THE ATTACK AND STARTED THE SECOND HALF BRIGHT WITH JUXON AND DALE WORKING WELL TOGETHER THEY GOT A GRIP OF THE GAME AND FREEMANS GOT THERE CHANCE WHEN TALBOT RAN THE CHANNEL AND WAS FOULED AROUND 20 YARDS OUT.MALE STEPPED UP AND PUT THE FREE-KICK IN THE MIX THAT FLOATED OVER EVERYONE AND DROPPED IN THE GOAL FREEMANS WERE BACK IN IT 1-1.FREEMANS WERE NOW PUSHING AND WERE MUCH THE BETTER SIDE BUT BOATHOUSE STILL LOOKED DANGEROUS ON THE ATTACK WITH THERE STRIKER HOLDING THE BALL UP WELL AND BRINGING OTHERS IN TO PLAY.BUT IT WAS FREEMANS WHO GOT THE ALL IMPORTANT GOAL WHEN A BALL PLAYED IN TO WARRILOW WHO TURNED ON IT AND CHIPPED IT THROUGH TO TALBOT WHO TIMED HIS RUN PERFECTLY AND RAN CLEAR OF THE DEFENCE AND SLOTTED THE BALL IN THE BOTTOM CORNER WITH THE FREEMANS BENCH AND PLAYERS GOING WILD IT WAS A MATTER OF FREEMANS BEING PROFESSIONAL NOW AND GETTING THE JOB DONE BUT BOATHOUSE GAVE FREEMANS ANOTHER SCARE WHEN A BALL PUT IN THE BOX RICOCHETED OF THE BAR.THEN IN AN OPEN LAST 15 MINS BOATHOUSE HAD A GREAT CHANCE TO EQUALISE WHEN THE STRIKER MISSED AN OPEN GAOL FROM 5 YARDS OUT.THEN WITH THE RAIN LASHING DOWN AND TACKLES FLYING DALE PICKED THE BALL UP 40 YARDS OUT RUN WITH IT IN THE BOX AND WITH ONLY THE KEEPER TO BEAT MANAGED TO PUT HIS SHOT WIDE THAT WOULD HAVE SEEN THE FINAL 5 MINS OUT IN BIT LESS PRESSURE.WITH 4 MINS OF INJURY TIME BEING PLAYED BOATHOUSE THROUGH EVERYTHING AT THE FREEMANS GOAL BUT THE DEFENCE WERE SOLID WITH WILLOCK AND MORRIS IN TOP FORM AT THE HEART OF THE DEFENCE WHO CLEARED EVERYTHING.THE REF BLOW THE WHISTLE AND WITH FREEMANS BENCH RUNNING ON THE PITCH THE CELEBRATIONS STARTED.
