Two goals and an assist goal by Man of the Match Mark Murtagh gives Heddon a win against a much improved Adam and Eve team.

When these two teams last met Heddon ran out 17-0 winners, even if the league wishes to publish that it was 16-0.

Dave Green made three changes to the team that beat Hexham Hearts the week before - Waddsy for Bull, Richy Harrison for Franky, and Murtagh for Appaz.

With the majority of the team nursing hangovers the game took a while to get going but it was Heddon who started the better, Club Chairman Gary Howarth asking does it look like we will get something here when only around 30 seconds had amassed on the clock!

A few neat passes between Burnie, Ross, Murtagh and Dan seen Heddon create their first chance with Walker hitting his shot straight to the keeper.
Again Heddon got behind the defence only this time for Sean to see his shot saved by the Adam and Eve goaly.
Heddon were just pipping the Home team with their dominance and eventually this paid off as good work again from Burnie on the left seen Dan collect his pass before putting a through ball to Murtagh who finished well.
As is often the case with Heddon once the opening goal was scored there was another one just round the corner as they only had to wait a further 2 minutes for their second, as an eventual Richard Harrison run (Prompted by Rich TA constant encouragement.... even if the ball was out of play he would still be doing it) ended up with him being tripped in the penalty box and Dan Walker made no mistake with converting the resulting penalty.
Another goal fest for Heddon looked on the cards but the Home team did not let their heads drops and they caused some nervy moments, in particular there long ball over the top being used with the help of a strong Sunday morning wind.
Heddon should of had their 3rd as great link up between Sean Howman and Walker seen Sean’s shot rebound back off the post with Richy Harrison then blasting the ball back across the box unfortunately for him it was a poor attempt at goal when a simple ball into the area would of been the better option.

If the start of the first half was a slow burner for Heddon, the second was just the same with Woody being replaced by Flem.
With the wind on their side Heddon could not get the game under control for the first few minutes and a few substitutions from Adam & Eve giving the away team a few problems.
However without doubt the team goal of the season came after Richy regained possession and a passage of play involving Ross, Flem, Dan and Murtagh put Sean through and he finished well into the bottom corner.
Richy was then replaced by J-lish with the fullback, just returning from injury been giving the role of defensive mid, making Ramma go Right wing and Flem go right wing back!
Adam Eve still carried a threat and a well taken free kick had Waddsy pull out a cracking save down low for the ball not to nestle in the net.
Heddon’s final goal came when sub Phil Edmondson played the ball down the left to Sean who then after beating two players slipped the ball through to Murtagh who tidally finished into the back of the net.
Dan Walker eventually got to test out the new sub jackets as he finally made way for Jo DP.
Unfortunately heddon could not keep a clean as a misplaced pass from Flem seen the Adam & Eve counter and an unlike challenge from Ballaz seen there forward run through and take an early shot which caught out Waddsy.
The victory means Heddon stay a top of the league with a 100% record.

Not the best of performances but a solid 4-1 win takes Heddon closer to the title.
