Away league match played on 16 September 2014.
Kicked off at 8:00 PM

Inspire played their 1st full competitive match against the Irish Wolfhound B on Tuesday. Inspire who are a new team and who had only previously played one friendly prior, have not really had a chance to gel into positions and partnerships. Regardless player coach colin had almost a full squad to choose from. Coach elected to pick the older and more physical players to withstand the typical irish game while starting younger athtetes to attack irish on the break. The match started with the Irish applying pressure on Inspire who absorbed the attack and stayed strong. The Irish had a couple of early snap shots at goal but none to threat goalkeeper Stephan. Inspire hit the Irish back on the break with Amro running down the left flank but he couldn't get his shot off.The game hit a stalemate where neither side could find a clear way through. Lone striker Thornley seen very little of the ball 1st half while Maradona was almost shut out of the game completely so couldn't provide service. Inspire needed some inspiration and it came from Mo Sanhouri who broke away on the right flank and charged towards the Irish goal. Thornley lost his man and squared up for Sanhouri delivery. Sanhouri who has 2 left feet scuffed his right footed cross to Thornley which took a bizarre side footed deflection from the Irish CB for an own goal.1-0 inspire (20 min sanhouri). The remaining minutes of the half seen Inspire open up the Irish more with Thierry scuffing a shot inside the box.Half time....as a new team and with a player coach on the field Colin was interested to find out the opinions of the team to see what can be improved. Nothing major was changed just player positioning.Second half was played similar with Inspire looking the more dangerous team but Irish always threatened on set pieces. Inspire had some real chances to end the game early with Thierry and Daniel finding space but both miss cueing thier efforts. Again the same looked stale with no creative play and this time a defensive error resulted in a loose ball in the Inspire penalty area. Questions need to be asked where was the goalkeeper on the loose ball. However without hesitation the loose ball was fired home1-1 (50 mins)With the game turned Thornley came back on to try find a way through and came close with some link up play with Hbeeb which resulted in a 3rddrive which whistled by the post. 2min later in almost the same position Thornley and Hbeeb linked up this time the CB wasted no time put an awful challenge on Thornley from behind injuring him. This is the problem of not having good referees 0 protection from stupid tackles like this.Abbas came on as a sub from the injury to pressure the Irish one more time. It came in the last second where Sanhouri found space and fired home level with the penalty area through the 2 Irish Wolfhound CB's scoring a fantastic goal. However with the referee allowing the Irish linesman the offside decision he wrongly accused Thierry for being offside when he was not involved in active play. In the 10s we would have no objection but the terrible and bias call from the line was shocking and ruined the game.Inspire won the match but will have to settle for 1 point until the league sorts the referee issues out. Man of the match: Romeo who was a rock Numpty of the match: Thierry for shooting twice like a 6 year old girl.Furthermore sanhouri was awarded the own goal as his own as he scored a perfect legitimate goal in the end.My appolgies for not talking about the quality of football played but this is what happened and we hope this referee shambles is stamped out of the league for the safety of the players and better matches.C.T
