Home league match played on 15 May 2012.
Kicked off at 8:00 PM

INTERMENAN THOUGHT HARD FOR ANOTHER VITAL THREE POINTS LAST NIGHT. MENAN WHO WERE SHORT ON PLAYERS DUE TO NATHAN VINE REPRESENTING MENAN ON INTERNATIONAL DUTY AT PRENTON PARK, DAVE HUGHES WHO WAS JET LAGGED FROM REPRESENTING MENAN IN AN OVERSEES TOURNAMENT AND PHIL SINGLETON WHO WAS TIED UP WITH WORK COMMITMENTS MEANT MENAN WERE DOWN TO THE BARE BONES.

UNFORTUNATELY JAY DURHAM WAS UNABLE TO PLAY DUE TO HIS WIFE BEING LATE HOME FROM PARENTS EVENING AND BEING A MAN WITH RESPONSIBILITIES COULD NOT LEAVE HIS TWO CHILDREN HOME ALONE AS WE NO WHAT HAPPENED IN THE FAMOUS FILM BACK IN THE DAY.

SO MENAN WERE FACING A CONFIDENT FC SOLLY TEAM, HAVING BEATEN THEM EARLIER IN THE CAMPAIGN MENAN NEW THEY WOULD BE IN FOR A TOUGH NIGHT AFTER THERE RECENT RUN OF GOOD RESULTS.

BUT WITH THE LOAN SIGNING OF PETE VINE AND THE RECENT GAME LIVE ON THE TV, MAN CITY VERSUS QPR IT INSPIRED MENANS FORMATION TO PARK THE BUS AND COUNTER ATTACK.

MENAN COULD NOT OF PLAYED A BETTER GAME IF THEY TRIED, COMMITTED IN EVERY CHALLENGE, DISCIPLINED IN THE WAY THEY SET UP, AND PLAYED SOME OF THEIR BEST ATTACKING FOOTBALL OF THE  SEASON.

A.VINE AND P.VINE WERE PIVITOL TOWARDS THE SUCCESS OF MENAN, WINNING NUMEROUS TACKLES AND RELEASING PASSES TO ALLOW POWLEY AND WARDLE TO ATTACK.

THIS LED TO MENANS FIRST GOAL OF THE GAME, POWLEY IS LOOKING MORE LIKE THE PLAYER THAT BAGGED 20 GOALS A SEASON FOR ROCKVILLE WHICH SECURED HIS TRANSFER TO MENAN IN 2006 AND HE TOOK HIS GOAL WITH GREAT CONFIDENCE.

IT WAS THEN A BATTLE TO CONTAIN SOLLY WHO STARTED TO HAVE MORE POSSESSION OF THE BALL BUT MENAN NEVER ALLOWED THEM TO ENTER THREATENING AREAS OF THE PITCH.

FROM NOWHERE WARDLE PRODUCED A BIT OF MAGIC TURNED HIS MAN AND LEFT HIM FOR DEAD AND FINISHED INTO THE TOP RIGHT HAND CORNER TO PUT MENAN IN A MORE COMFORTABLE POSITION GOING INTO THE SECOND HALF WITH A TOUGH 17 MINUTES TO FIGHT OUT WITH TIRING LEGS.

FC SOLLY HAD A FEW MORE EFFORTS ON GOAL WHICH SINGLETON STUD UP TO HOWEVER SOLLY POUNCED ON SINGLETONS SAVE WHICH HE SHOULD OF DONE BETTER WITH AND MADE IT A NERVY LAST 6 MINUTES.

IN THEN RELEASED THE GOAL OF THE GAME A.VINE WHO HIT A THUNDEROUS EFFORT INTO THE TOP LEFT HAND CORNER OF THE GOAL, HE REALLY DID TIME THIS ONE WELL NOT ONLY TO SCORE BUT INFRONT OF MENANS RIVALS WALCOTT AND ASHVILLE AS THEY WERE WAITING TO COMMENCE THEIR 8.40 KICK OFF.

IT FINISHED OF MENAN WITH ANOTHER WIN WITH 5 MEN AND HAS SET UP A GREAT CONTEST AGAINST WALCOTT NEXT WEEK WERE MENAN WILL BE AT FULL STRENGTH AND REALLY NOW NEED TO ASSERT THEM SELVES ON THE GAME AND MORE IMPORTANTLY TAKE A VITAL THREE POINTS.

ITS A BIG SIGN WHEN AT THE END OF THE GAME WALCOTT'S SKIPPER ASKED WHAT THE SCORE WAS, AFTER THEIR 4 - 4 DREW WITH SOLLY LAST WEEK , GAFFER TOLD THEM WE WON 3 - 1 , WHICH THEY LOOKED SUPRISED AT , TO THEN BE TOLD WITH 5 MEN AND THERE SKIPPERS FACE LOOKED A PASTY WHITE.  WELL WE MUST OF LOOKED LIKE A TEAM PLAYING WITH 6 MEN AND IS A GREAT CREDIT TO EVERYONE WHO PULLED THE SHIRT ON FOR MENAN LAST NIGHT.

ENJOY THE REST AND LETS MAKE SURE WE START POSITIVE AGAINST WALCOTT AND CLAIM THEM VITAL 3 POINTS
