Home league match played on 30 September 2012.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

The game got underway with Jones Road forcing the play in brewoods half, at times penning them in, giving them the only option to play long balls over the top. With quick closing down from midfield to attackers gave Brewood little time to play the ball about and the defence tidying up anything loose. Football was nice at times playing from back to front but, again as most our season so far we start panicking in the final third and shots ended up stray and balls given away easily. Chances to cross and create were stalled too long that defenders managed to get back in time for challanges. Bit more composure from ALL players is required and that will start coming soon.

Eventually a lovely through ball from Willow at the back fed through Macca who found himself beyond the defenders and tucking the ball away into the bottom corner of the goal. Chances came about after this but, again was taken properly. A lot of hard work from Jones Road to close down and get the ball back was great credit in knowing where we all went wrong last week and seem to put this right. Half Time stayed at 1v0.

Second half started and Brewood started getting back in the game there selves. Missed chances and lack of creating from Jones Road in the first half seemed to give Brewood some confidence. But, the game was still being controlled by the home team. Again some nice midfield play saw Sam put a nice ball in the box, Macca connects with a header which hits the bar but, Donno seems to connected with the rebound and thunder a strike into the back of the net, a quality goal. Which was apprecited by the Jones Road (Chris Donnolley) fan club on the side.

Breewood never gave up and Jones Road started shaking a bit even with the 2 goal lead, thinking job done. Passes started straying and possible fitness started creeping in due to the size of the pitch and not putting the game to bed earlier. A third followed soon after Brewood tried to play the offside with a high line and were caught out when Nicholls played a lovely ball through to Lew who calmy run the ball down to the area, grounded the keeper and was in front of an empty net to tuck the ball away.

Jones Road must of thought this was job done now. But, credit to Brewood who came and came at us right up to the 90th minute. Players were caught out of position and disapline started to lack for Jones Road. Brewood then played the ball through thereselves and finished nicely to make it 3-1. Jones Road were on the back foot and started panicking even more, again Brewood cut us open and made it 3-2!! Due to everyone on Jones Road being so relaxed from being 3-0 up couldn't get ourselves going again and even though we had majority of play and possesion, Brewood could of stole a point at the end.

Final whistle blew and the 3 points were ours. A lesson to learn that we have to give it our all till that final whistle. But, overall a great result for the league.
