Away league match played on 03 October 2010.
Kicked off at 2:00 AM

Well played lads! this was another outstanding performance and the scoreline was not a true reflection of our dominance. The first half display was as good as we have witnessed so far and we have already seen some magnificent shows. Launton started the brightest and we did well to snuff out any early threats that came our way. With our first attack of the day Lewis opened our scoring, Thomas jinked inside his marker and fed Lewis inside the box. Still having lots to do Lewis turned his marker and whipped in a wicked shot that whizzed between the shocked keepers legs . Tyler was quick to seize onto George's neat lay off and give us our second inside ten minutes. Our tails were well and truely up at this stage and we closed down every opponent with real tenacity. Ned robbed his marker and set George away down the right who then delivered a pin-point pass to Tyler on the back stick where the hungry Paternoster finished confidently with his left foot. Still we went at our opponents and some great work by Ollie turned defence into attack as we broke with real pace , Lewis laid into the path of George who smashed past a bewildered Launton keeper to make it four. Ned's volley crashed down off the underside of the bar and unfortunately the ref adjudged the ball to be safe and no goal. Tyler ,Lewis Ned and Thomas were all denied another goal in a frantic goalmouth scramble that finished a stunning first half Royals display.

The second half was a much more stoic affair as the home side set out to limit the damage we were creating. Still we dominated the play but Launtons dubious offside tactic stifled our goal threat, we looked like scoring , the flag went up, the ref whistled, they took the free-kick, we won the ball, we looked like scoring, the flag went up and so on and so forth. Not the sort of tactic we will ever resort to. These are the important years in our lads lives when they learn the value of accepting defeat along with the pleasures of victory. After Launtons long range strike we  hit back with an absolute stunner when Jonty used his neck muscles to pummel a header into Tyler's path. Mr. Hatrick sweetly struck past the home keeper without breaking stride. Tom Kinch replaced the goal-machine and came close to getting his name on the score sheet with a dazzling run and stinging shot which the goalie did well to beat out. Again the keeper came to Launton's rescue pushing George's free-kick onto the post before finally our own keeper was beaten late in the game by another long range strike. Our defence were magnificent today keeping chances to a minimum and well backed up by Isaac who grows in confidence by the match. In midfield we saw both Jonty and Lewis in great form dominating the centre of the park, outside them Ned was a constant threat down the right with his pacy runs and Thomas' range of passing  from the left  caused countless problems for the home side. Up top George gave the sort of unselfish display that Tyler will be thankful of. George worked tirelessly for the team his best performance so far but was only beaten into man of the match by a quite brilliant display of finishing from Tyler. Not only was Tyler on his own game today but he was also happy to get stuck in for the cause.  Each and everyone of you boys can be very pleased with your efforts so far as we sit proudly on top of the A league. Keep up the good work.
