This Saturday Kirton town faced pointon fc in their 4 home game in a row, Kirton were nearly unchanged again apart from Declan sands returning to the bench ,the game started and for the first 10 mins pointon played the best football, the Kirton defence was all at sorts and were lucky a time or two to not be behind , after 12 mins Jamie hall was called into action in the Kirton goal and was forced to make the safe of match , again a pointon forward found himself unmarked just outside the box , and hit a brilliant shot on the run , somehow the Kirton keeper managed to dive and get his hand to the ball forcing it over the bar for a corner ,of which was cleared by Kirton ,but only a moment later the keeper was called into action again, running of his line and diving on the ball , but getting a nasty knock on his head from the forward , that left him sprawled out on the floor in agony. After the re start Kirton started to find there cutting edge , and Dean Fisher was sent clear through , but he opted to pass instead of shoot and squared the ball for Reece west to hammer home beyond the goalkeeper , but as the pass was made Reece was in a off side position and the goal was dissalowed, then on 20 mins Kirton did take the lead a corner was swung in from Richard Ford and captain Martin Durrant met the cross with a bullet header that the pointon goalkeeper did well to stop ,but the rebound fell to Callum McDonald ,to knock in his 4th goal of the season, Kirton had plenty of chances to increase their lead in the remaining first half ,but as the story as been all season they just didn’t manage to convert them ,half time score was 1-0

The second half started and it was pointon who looked the most dangerous in the opening 15 mins, trying to catch Kirton on the break , and on 60 mins they got their break , Martin was caught between 2 players and was adjudged to have pushed one of them , the ref pointed to the spot and pointon had a penalty, the defender stepped up to take it and for the second week running Jamie hall in the Kirton goal dived to his right and kept the spot kick out ,a pointon forward did get to the ball first but as the Kirton keeper dive and spread himself the player elected to pass across goal instead of shoot and the pointon forward rolled the ball into the net , but on receiving the pass was in a offside position. Kirton had to make a change soon after with Kyle Bates coming on for Lewis Dunworth who had been struggling with a knee injury, Marc Neall and Richard Ford with James Hardy were holding the midfield together and making chances , and the Kirton back four did hold their line well until the 65 min ,when again Pointon caught Kirton on the break , and as the player ran into the box he shot hard and low and into the bottom corner for 1-1,this made Kirton look for another goal , and they soon had one but it was disallowed , very strange too ,it was either a throw in sent deep into the Pointon box from Richard Ford and with a slightest of flicks ,Reece west flicked the ball into the net , but the linesman put his flag up straight away after a talk between ref and linesman , Reece was adjudged to have been offside when he headed the ball in from a throw in ??/ we still can’t work that one out, after this it was all pointon they looked to score again and 10 mins later they did do , another break and a cross ball into the middle, a stumble from a Kirton defender and pointon were through , again the forwards shot was hard and low and it was 1-2 to pointon. Kirton didn’t give up though and there was another strange decision , another Fordy long throw deep into the box and it looked like a mad slice from a Pointon player but the ball flew into the net and the ref disallowed this one too , claiming it had got a touch from a Kirton player and he was offside again from a throw in , even if it had come of a Kirton player which it had not Callum McDonald was booked just after this for remonstrating with the referee about the decision .But with 80 mins gone yet another long throw from Fordy straight at goal , and just before it went in the keeper got his hand to it to help it into the net , main thing was this goal was given and Kirton were all square, the game ended 2-2 but with all the chances Kirton created they maybe should have taken all 3 points and especially with the decisions that when against them , Jamie Hall was man of the match for the second week running.
