Kiwi FC vs PSG - The Jamie Pollock curse continues(?)

Match day 2 of the season saw KFC go head to head in another tight & shouty match with the home side PSG. Another strong line up with more options on the bench!

First 10 or so minutes saw both teams settle into the game with PSG having more of the ball and trying the ol side to side and over the top tactic. However, proving not so effective, with an intercepted ball against the run of play, the ball was passed out to Shaydon who took a touch was on his bike into PSG's half, head up and with the outside of his left foot bent an orgasmic through ball, KDB-alike, across to debutant Brad who sorted his feet and with one of his first touches for KFC chipped their keeper like it was just another day in the office, weapon. 1-0 Kiwis

The next 25 minutes saw both teams just yarn to each other really with Seb and fake grealish exchanging some creative words until a free kick was awarded right on the edge our D. PSG tried their luck with a well driven shot and with Kieran unfortunately blinded by love with his lovely WAG (shout out to Susan!) at the game, he saw the ball late as it whizzed passed into the bottom left hand corner, 1-1. A few more aggressive tackles, a couple yellow cards, some time wasting and a harsh call directed at Seb's rugby boots saw us out to halftime.

It was an uneventful start to the second half with neither team really creating too many opportunities. 65th minute in and KFC had more of the ball and won a few set piece opportunites which resulted in a long throw from Robbie into the box, manged to find Jevon, who became the first person in world football and throughout all its history to perform a 180, left shoulder blade finesse finish through the keepers arms and trickle its way into the bottom right hand corner, as if time had stood still to put the Kiwis 2-1 up!

Safe to say the keeper had a howler and was immediately subbed off.

20minutes to go with a couple substitutions from the gaffer which saw Robbie move into midfield allowing Liam to come in on the wing and Angus to go up top, the ball fell nicely to Robbie from 30yards out as he struck a deliciously rising shot that just went wide of the post. The boys were doing well to seal the W, a couple minutes left, PSG were throwing attack after attack, they managed to break down our right hand side and deliver a teasing cross to the center of our box, proved to be too teasing indeed as Goran decided to throw PSG a lifeline (with what was clearly a 50/50 challenge) by completely miss timming the challenge and yeeting their number 9 in the back with a clumsly challenge in the air in the box. Penalty to PSG 90th minute.

Sadly the fox couldn't save the day or G's aggressive drinking later that night as they slotted it in the bottom right corner. 2-2

Full time whistle went shortly after and KFC had to resort to just the 1 point on the day. Also wouldn't be a classic KFC vs PSG match without a bit of after game scuffles and shoves. BOSH.

Man of the match was Shaydon great performance and assist and overall good football from the lads on a sunny Saturday. Had all the points in the bag but left with one unlucky, we go again!!
