Lads Club Juniors U13 travelled to Old School Lane on 27 September 2026 to face Hereford Pegasus Youth U13 Flyers in a keenly contested league away match kicking off at 11:30. The 60-minute encounter, played nine-a-side, ended with Lads Club Juniors securing a slender 1-0 victory.
Deploying a 3-4-1 formation, Lads Club Juniors set up with Lucas Price in goal, flanked by a defensive trio of Louis Howells at right defender, Archie Rigby centrally, and Charlie Arnold on the left. The midfield quartet featured Thomi Scoular on the right, Zayn Prosser and Will Horley occupying central midfield roles, and Rupert Bruton on the left wing. Leading the line was striker Oscar Jones, positioned just ahead of the midfield to spearhead attacks. This setup aimed to balance defensive solidity with midfield creativity and width, expecting the wide midfielders to support both defence and attack while the central midfielders controlled the tempo. The substitutes named were Riley Smith, Finn Jones, Chase Bracegirdle, and Flyn Watkins.
From the outset, Lads Club Juniors showed intent with early attempts on goal. Within three minutes, Rupert Bruton and Louis Howells both tested the opposition goalkeeper, though their efforts were comfortably saved. The home side responded quickly, forcing goalkeeper Lucas Price into a sharp dive at his feet by the fifth minute, demonstrating his alertness early on.

At 16 minutes, a tactical change saw Riley Smith replace Zayn Prosser, followed swiftly by Finn Jones coming on for Thomi Scoular at 17 minutes.
