The Colts looked to correct this and the next goal came before half time. Alby took a shot at goal and the deflection won us a throw in. Elliot made a great throw to Henry. There was one last job for the Colts before half time, to make sure the win was looking decisive to influence the half time chats. Jonas hadn’t been called into much service during most of the game but a powerful shot demanded all his skills and training and he got his fingers to it to stop them scoring. Jonas commented afterwards it’s one of his first top bin saves and it definitely looked skilful.

HT: ??3-1??

The second half saw Macarbi bring some A game and they were worthy opponents throughout never making it easy and continuing to create chances that we had to defend and save. There was lots of corner practice at both ends. The Colts were excellent throughout, defending and passing well. The game felt highly competitive throughout despite the scoreline.

The final goal came towards the end. Cian won a ball back in our half, passed to Oscar who drove forward, reading the game well as the defenders came for Oscar Alby picked the ball up on a short pass from Oscar. Alby got past the defenders with skill, the goalie came out to stop him but he read it just in time and took an extra touch in another direction before booting it straight into the goal.
