A change of manager has done Mary Dendy the world of good. Whilst Paul Cronshaw still runs team affairs, Muttley O’Neill has returned to pull the strings  on match days.

Poynton Village captain Simon Crane tries to prevent Martin Brunker from adding to his tally. His record speaks for itself- four games three wins , one defeat. A 6-2 victory against fellow strugglers Poynton Village was no more than the home team deserved after a dominant second half but it could have been very different had Poynton  taken two good chances in the opening minutes while they pressed the Dendy goal. Ironically  their opening goal came on the break after a Dendy corner ,  new signing Leo Faulkner neatly side footing home from the edge of the area after a swift counter attack. Dendy then scored twice themselves . First Gareth Worrall launched a freekick into the Poynton penalty area and Matty Morris finding himself unmarked and in acres of space turned and fired low past Dan Moult. Martin Brunker  then added a second getting the faintest of touches to a Matty  Morris shot . Ten minutes before half time and  Poynton  were back in the game , Paul Stewart heading home a corner at the near post.

The second half belonged to Dendy , Steve Rawlings began to control midfield  and substitute Adam Taylor drew defensive cover wide allowing Martin Brunker to run straight through the middle. Brunker scored twice in three minutes to complete his hat-trick and added a fourth with eleven minutes to go . Matty Morris added his second too to help Dendy to their biggest win of the season.
