The lads where all up for this one, possible new player Sam turn up and gave us the 11 players required. The defence and holding midfielders got stuck in from the start allowing us to maintain all the play and the score line showed with a 2-0 half time score...the first goal came from a loose pass which Jordan pounced on, he slipped the bail through to Lewis Roberts who placed the ball under the advancing keeper. The 2nd goal was the best of the game. The ball was played into the area to Jordan; he held off the defender and laid the ball back for the on coming Lewis to smash and unstoppable shot passed the keeper. in the second half things where a bit more difficult as we where kicking into the wind, they got back into the game from a pass to there forward, Woody managed a last ditch challenge but as the ball was played back, a divot  redirected the ball and in turn bounce over Ryan’s hands. The lads then decided to show what there made of...It started with a mazy run from Jordan with only the post denying him a goal, Then John with a power driver just fizzed one over the bar, Lewis Ready was then moved into midfield and began to shine and was involved in the 3rd. the ball yet again was won in Midfield, laid out to Lewis he fed Kane down the wing who cut it back for Jordan. Lewis got onto Jordan’s through ball to hit his well deserved hat rick. Jordan made the game safe latching onto a defence splitting pass from John, he rounded the keeper finishing coolly to seal the well deserved victory. Every player on the pitch for Moorside should hold there heads up high. There where outstanding performances all over the pitch. As for MOM this could have gone to any one of you. Lewis with his hatrick, Jordan with a goal and 3 assists, but my vote goes to J.Callan. Unsung heros very really get mentioned but it's not always the attacking players that should get the plaudits. John put the fear of god into them with some really tough tackling but showed calmness with it. Well done to you all.
