Under 11’s MPE Sports Match Report

First Half

The mighty MPE Sport’s army ventured to away to a new away venue this week, taking on Rainham Kenilworth Youth FC. The manager’s selection placed Jacob Williams [GK], Connor Simmonds, Billy Tidman, Oliver Hewitt, Jack Amos, Sam White, Jamie Pye, Kian Murdin and Josh Ashdown first out, with Harry Goodwright and Aaron Wood in the wings as appointed substitutes.

It was MPE Sports first out of the blocks at the start of the first half, with a good pressured run by Jack Amos. The home team play good strong football and it wasn’t long before that mighty MEPE Sports were forced to defend deep, with Conner Simmonds clearing the ball from the front of goal.

The first goal for the home side came ten minutes in placing the home side one nil up [1-0]

The home side were playing some decent football and continued to pile on the pressure forcing the game play into the away half. It was Sam White who released Josh Ashdown down the right who was unlucky not to find the right foot of Jack Amos. MPE were playing some good football now, with one, two touch passes from Kian Murdin, Sam White and Jamie Pye.

MPE were starting to gain momentum, with Josh Ashdown almost hitting the equaliser from a Jack Amos through ball. At the 20 minute mark saw Aaron Wood and Harry Goodwright on for Kian Murdin and Jamie Pye.

A fantastic through ball from Harry Goodwright, find the feet of Jack Amos, who was unlucky not to hit the target.

The home side were quick to break and break with speed, again suburb defending from Billy Tidman and Connor Simmonds.

 

Second Half

The home side were straight out of the blocks at the start of the second half forcing the play into MEP’s half; confident hands from MPE’s #1 goalkeeper prevented the second goal. Another set of substitutions placed Josh Ashdown and Oliver Hewitt on the bench for Kian Murdin and Jamie Pye.

The home side start to gain momentum and with their visible strength on their side were starting to break down the away sides defence. The second goal of the game came 20 minutes in, with a rocket of a shot, placing the home side two nil up.

The mighty MPE Sports were defending deep, suburb defensive play from Harry Goodwright and Aaron Wood, who was all over the park. Three quick goals in succession place the home side five nil up [5-0]

It was MPE Sport’s new boy Aaron Wood that converted a through ball from Kian Murdin with a consolation goal. Great goal and a great finish [5-1]

Final Score: Rainham Kenilworth Youth FC 5 – MPE Sports 1
