Home league match played on 27 September 2025.
Kicked off at 11:00 AM

On Saturday 27 September 2025, Newhall Rangers Youth U7 Blues hosted Bengeo Tigers Malayans at Newhall Academy in a league fixture that kicked off promptly at 11:00am. The five-a-side encounter lasted 40 minutes plus added time, with Newhall Rangers delivering a commanding performance to secure a resounding 7-0 victory over their visitors.

Newhall Rangers lined up in a 1-2-1 formation, a tactical setup designed to balance defensive solidity with midfield control and attacking threat. The goalkeeper took position between the sticks, tasked with organising the defence and making crucial saves. Two central midfielders operated side by side, expected to dominate possession, link play, and support both defence and attack. The central defender was responsible for anchoring the backline, while the lone striker led the line, aiming to convert chances and apply pressure on the opposition defence.

The starting five comprised the goalkeeper, two midfielders, a central defender, and a striker. This formation demanded high work rate and positional discipline from all players, particularly the midfield duo who were pivotal in transitioning the ball forward. No substitutes were named for this fixture, meaning the starting lineup was relied upon throughout the match.

From the outset, Newhall Rangers imposed themselves on the game, controlling possession and creating numerous scoring opportunities. Their attacking intent was clear, with the striker frequently finding space to exploit the Bengeo Tigers’ defensive vulnerabilities. The midfielders orchestrated play effectively, combining quick passes and intelligent movement to dismantle the opposition’s shape.

By the 20-minute mark, the referee, Kacper Zapior, brought the first half to a close with Newhall Rangers comfortably ahead. The half-time interval reflected the dominance of the home side, who had thoroughly outplayed Bengeo Tigers Malayans in every department. The visitors struggled to gain any foothold, unable to penetrate the Rangers’ organised defensive setup or mount meaningful attacks.

In the second half, Newhall Rangers continued their relentless pressure, adding to their tally with clinical finishing and cohesive team play. The goalkeeper remained alert and composed, ensuring a clean sheet was maintained throughout the match. The central defender’s disciplined positioning thwarted any rare advances from the Tigers, while the midfielders’ tireless efforts ensured control of the midfield battleground was never relinquished.

The striker’s predatory instincts were on full display, converting multiple chances and proving a constant threat to the opposition’s goal. The fluidity of the 1-2-1 formation allowed the Rangers to exploit spaces effectively, with the midfielders supporting the lone forward and contributing to the attacking phases.

By the final whistle, Newhall Rangers Youth U7 Blues had secured a comprehensive 7-0 victory, a testament to their superior tactics, teamwork, and individual skill. The referee’s performance was exemplary, managing the game with fairness and consistency throughout.

Reggie Reggie was named Player of the Match, recognised for his outstanding contribution to Newhall Rangers’ dominant display. His influence in midfield was instrumental in controlling the tempo and facilitating the team’s attacking prowess.

This emphatic win will surely boost Newhall Rangers’ confidence as they continue their league campaign, while Bengeo Tigers Malayans will need to regroup and address the shortcomings exposed during this encounter.

MANAGERS NOTES:

Reggie ???? Rayan ???? Wilf ?? Henry ?? Marcel ??

Better opponent than our last 2 matches but still a comfortable, dominant win and ANOTHER clean sheet ???? which is amazing for this age group despite who we play and considering they bring extra boys on after first quarter or two.

Some excellent multi pass passages of play and to be honest, today we didn’t really even have our shooting boots on so another great win, and onto the next we go! ??????

Also well done to Reg today, MOTM award for work rate and finishing and tried harder to make passes when in sticky positions today ?? Enjoyed wearing the captains arm band too!
