And a great first game it was:

Starting out a little shaky learning a new way to play as an organized soccer team, NHCC United F.C. comes out with its first victory of the season winning their first league game 7-5. The game started out with a little confusion about the team’s new subbing methods and people trying to find their position on the field. The score started out 0-1, with the other team in the lead early in the game. Having the first goal scored against you is not an easy feeling. Captain #9-Fredy Padilla came out of nowhere with a Left Footed shot to the left bottom corner of the goal from behind the red line tying up the score 1-1 (Totaling 2 goals in the match). That tying goal motivated the team to keep pushing forward as the team was able to obtain up to a 3 point lead. #3-Dustin Fuchs came in charging taking a shot from behind the arc and scoring the goal that gave the team its first lead. At half time the score was 5-3. Everyone knew what we had to do the second half, keep pushing and keep scoring. There was a great hustle being done by Forward-#12-Ramuald Kouam which was able to get 3 goals behind the net. At the end of the game only two yellow cards where issued to our defenders, #14-Celestine Okonkwo and #2-Fredrick Muchelle. Goal Keeper #13/0-Obed Ontiri came up with some key saves that kept the teams lead during both halves of the game. The team was able to come together at the end and obtain a successful first game victory 7-5, with #7-Ahmed Alshimmar scoring the final goal getting assisted by #10-Frank Zita . It’s a great start to the spring 2012 season with a 1-0 record.

Team Work was the key to our success!

Could it be his shoes? :)

Pushing up top as a forward, Ramuald managed to open himself up and move towards the open field to receive some good passes from his teammates and even scoring a solo 1 on 1 goal against the goalie, having two defenders chasing you is no easy task, but Ramuald was able to finish the job he started by placing the ball between the goalies legs, adding a point to our teams lead and scoring his second goal of the game, finishing strong with a 3rd goal towards the end of the game, a "Hat Trick" was born.

Congratulations on being the “Man of the Match” and great hustle:

Let’s keep it up!!!
