Home league match played on 23 September 2012.
Kicked off at 2:00 PM

Norman started very lively on a cold smokey afternoon, the smoke blowing over from the nearby allotments. Norman put pressure on from the beginning with numerous chances but just couldn't get the ball past reephams gk, who was having a good game.

15 mins in and Reepham scores against the run of play with an unexpected long throw, they took us by surprise with a lucky goal.

20 mins in and Jake S spots Reephams keeper off the line and takes a wicked shot just inside Reephams half, scraping the cross bar (oh so close).

36 mins in and Fred makes an excellent interception and releases the ball up field to Aiden, who in turn found Chandler, who was unlucky with a blocked shot from defender, good counter attack from Norman. The Reepham gk then released the ball into the wide area to catch Norman on the counter attack, Declan being alert made a good goal line clearance. Norman carried on the pressure to half time, excellent first half Norman.

We started the second half as lively as we did the first even though we had to play against the rain. Reepham gk started the second half as he finished the first, making a few good saves. Reepham put Norman under pressure with Leo making some excellent saves and great ball distribution on his debut game with Norman.

14 mins into second half and Norman equalizes with a great goal from Chandler assisted by Billy. Reepham then took control with 3 quickly taken goals Norman continued with the pressure with lots of chances but just unable to find the net.

After a goalmouth scramble with 7 mins left Jimmy on his league debut scores a cracking goal with a fiercely taken shot from inside the box. Norman then had the ball in the net again but was harshly ruled offside. Norman kept the pressure up until the final whistle with the Reepham coach even saying that he couldn't believe his team won as Norman deserved to win. Take heart from this lads as we were just unlucky today!!

All of you played at a high standard today and have set yourselves a bench mark for the season ahead. We are extremely proud of the work you have all put in and please keep it up.

This is our first game with new players and new formations, you have all adapted well and we can only get stronger. EXCELLENT FOOTBALL NORMAN!
