Northerners Blue U13 15 vs 1 Vale Recreation U13

On 18 October 2026, Northerners Blue U13 hosted Vale Recreation U13 at Northfield in a league fixture that kicked off promptly at 10:30am. The 9-a-side match, played over 70 minutes plus added time, ended in a resounding 15-1 victory for the home side, underscoring their dominance throughout the contest.

Northerners Blue lined up in a 2-1-4-1 formation, a tactical setup designed to balance defensive solidity with attacking width and midfield control. The two defenders were tasked with maintaining a strong backline, supported by a single holding midfielder who would shield the defence and distribute the ball forward. Ahead of them, four midfielders were expected to press high, create chances, and support both attack and defence, while the lone striker led the line, looking to convert opportunities into goals.

With no substitutes named for this fixture, the starting nine players were relied upon to maintain intensity and focus for the full duration of the match. This formation allowed Northerners Blue to dominate possession and territory, which was reflected in the final scoreline.

The first half saw Northerners Blue impose their game plan effectively, controlling the midfield and creating numerous chances. By the 35th minute, the half-time whistle confirmed their commanding lead, although the exact score at this stage is not detailed. Vale Recreation struggled to break through the disciplined defensive structure and were limited to few attacking opportunities.

In the second half, Northerners Blue continued their relentless pressure, adding to their tally with clinical finishing and intelligent movement. Vale Recreation managed to pull one goal back, but it was a mere consolation in a match where Northerners Blue’s attacking prowess was simply too much to handle.

Throughout the match, the home side’s use of width and midfield dominance allowed them to create a plethora of scoring opportunities. The lone striker capitalised on these chances with composure and precision, while the midfielders contributed both goals and assists. Defensively, the two centre-backs and the holding midfielder ensured that Vale Recreation’s attacks were stifled effectively.

This emphatic 15-1 victory not only boosts Northerners Blue’s confidence but also sends a clear message to their league rivals about their attacking capabilities and tactical discipline. The team will look to build on this performance in their upcoming fixtures, maintaining the momentum gained from such a comprehensive win at Northfield.
