Home league match played on 01 November 2015.
Kicked off at 10:00 AM

On a very foggy morning Northwood welcomed Harvesters South to Northwood Park for the return league game.

This was very much a match of two halves with the boys staring really well again playing some good possession football linking well from the defence through the midfield into the forward players. Harvesters again showed that they are a team that likes to play a passing game too . Northwood did have the better of some early exchanges with Joshua Lewis Reid, Ben Freeth all having good efforts being saved or just missing the target. The Northwood defence of the returning Daniel, George and all round performance from Lewis Ryan were a match for all that Harvesters did throw at them.

The deadlock was eventually broken in the 19th minute when a mazy individual run and a great finish saw Ashley put the Woods one up. Two minutes later a great measured pass from Ben Freeth pick out Joshua who finished well 2-0 Northwood. A few minutes later saw the best goal the boys have scored in quite a while with the ball starting with Rayyan being moved across the back 3 with another great pass from Lewis Reid find Joshua who netted his second the Northwood 3rd.

The instructions at half time was pretty much carry on in the same style that the boys had played in the first half . However the message was very much the next goal would be very important in the way the game would be played out . Some more changes to the team were made and the boys went out for the second half.

Harvesters did seem to start the second half the better and after 5 minutes did score a well worked goal from a good cross field pass and a fine shot form their usual goal keeper who had come on as a sub. Apparently he had injured his finger earlier in the week so had given the gloves to the stand in, who had a fine game between the posts. It was now very much game on again with Harvesters beginning to get on top. The boys did not seem to panic and still played some good passing football but could not find the cutting edge up front. With barely 3 minutes to go Harvester got their second and were very much looking to try and rescue a point from the game. Fortunately the boys did keep shape and discipline to see out the final minutes to a good 3-2 victory

Well dine to Lewis Ryan who had a fine performance at the back and deserved his player of the match.
