Johnson Paint Trophy Game 3: Having looked dead and buried at half time, Adam Robert Brown's Accrington Stanley pulled off an unbelievable comeback to defeat Ian Dean's Preston North End 4-2.
The first half was all Preston as their pacy play and committed defending exposed a beleaguered Stanley. Luke Bradley opened the scoring when he was given too much time to let off a fierce angled shot, before Deano latched onto Luke's pass and his shot ricocheted through the hands (and face) of Brown in goal.
After the break the mood of the game shifted as a rejuvenated Accrington set about notching up goals until they suddenly found themselves in the lead... Phil Gandy scored the first when he rammed home Patto's corner, before Robert Crozier scored two fantastic solo goals with help from Adam and Toobs (the latter a 40 yard pass that dropped over Joe). Pete denied Patto with an incredible diving save, while at the other end Patto and Kieran both made strong blocks to deny Rowan, before Chris Fletcheradded a fourth for Stanley as the North End defence couldn't clear their lines.
