MEFF #62 FAECES SEMI FINAL 1 – ALL THE GEAR, NO IKEA 1 - 3 THE WARSAW PACK:
The first MEFF FAECES Semi Final produced a close contest, but in the end stand-in Captain Pete was successful in steering The Warsaw Pack to victory over Rowan’s All the Gear, No Ikea, allowing Luke to take the first place in the Final. All the Gear actually won the first half after a great finish from Spence and some good saves from Rowan, but the second half belonged to the Pack as their improved movement and finishing took them to victory with eye-catching performances from Ash, Justin and Adam, and they were aided by a tiring and misfiring opposition who had a number of ill chaps in their ranks.
1-0: Spence(Sicky’s corner was flicked into the net at the near post)
Half Time
1-1: Ash(Straight after half time Ash produced a side-footed finish into the bottom corner that Rowan left as he thought it was going wide!)
1-2: Pete(A long ball on the break by Adam found Pete lurking at the other end, and he finished smartly)
1-3: Ash(Pete found Ash, who beat a tackle and then shanked the ball into the top right corner)
Men of the Match were Rowan, “for pulling off some cracking saves and making some good runs at the end”, and Ash, “for actually convincing some people that he was aiming for the top corner with his second goal!“
