MEFF #63 FAECES SEMI FINAL 2 – CROZIER’S COSSACKS 3 – 10 THE AUTOBAHN DANCERS:

Sicky’s Squad Scores (sponsored by Experian):Crozier’s Team = 8.24, Sicky’s Team = 8.4. Sicky should win by 3 goals.

The second MEFF FAECES Semi Final was “an eventful game” (Crozier, 2012) as stand-in Captain Sicky steered the Germanic Autobahn Dancers to a comprehensive victory over Crozier’s Cossacks. The first half was extremely tight, but a few goals for the Dancers early in the second half forced the Cossacks to attack, and Sicky’s team were ruthless on the counter as their pacy play put the tie to bed against a tiring opposition.

0-1: Sicky(Sicky turned Crozier inside out before finishing in the bottom right corner)

0-2: Jack(A miscontrol by Pete allowed Jack to nip in and finish calmly)

0-3: Sicky(Sicky collected a bobbled clearance on the right wing and his attempted cross sailed into the net from a stupid angle)

1-3: Crozier (A great run from Fletch ended with his laying the ball off to Crozier who finished smartly)

2-3: Fletch (A mix up between Rowan and his defence allowed Fletch to stab home)

Half Time

2-4: Sicky(Phil G played a lovely weighted ball over the top, which Sicky controlled with his left foot and then hit with his right in one movement)

2-5: Sicky(From a corner, Jack picked out Sicky who slotted it past Griff first time)

3-5: Pete(Pete scored with his finish rolling slowly over the line)

3-6: Griffiths(Phil G’s long range shot was parried out by Griffin in goal, but Griffiths was on hand to tap the ball home)

3-7: Jack(Phil G set up Jack for a good team goal)

3-8: Jack(Sicky set up Jack for a sweeping team goal)

3-9: Adam(Adam scored a goal)

3-10: Phil G(With the last play of the game, the ball was passed out to Phil on the left, who finished unerringly first time into the far right corner)

A bit of mutual Captain back-rubbing means that Men of the Match were Sicky, “for driving his team forward”, and Crozier, “for keeping going and encouraging his team under trying circumstances!“
