Away friendly match played on 05 January 2011.
Kicked off at 6:30 PM

After a shaky start, Powerleague novices Team Penguin rose to the challenge to offer a lethargic Olympique LMB a mildly competitive and physical game in chilly conditions. After scoring a ludicrous own goal to give LMB the lead, the Penguins slowly offered some resistance, but were subjected to a number of attacks as LMB passed the ball around well, with Phil making a strong run down the right and squaring to Brett, who rolled the ball into the path of Patto to add a second goal. A precise rifled finish from Brett extended the LMB lead, although Team Penguin did score twice in the first half as the LMB defence went AWOL to leave Griffles exposed in goal. Phil smashed away a low finish from a quickly-taken free-kick, before Patto provided a lovely assist off the sidewall to give Phil a one-on-one chance with the keeper which he easily dispatched. Brett added his second before setting up Griffiths to leave LMB 7-2 leaders at half time.

Aching limbs and a desire to push forward left LMB a little exposed in the second half as Team Penguin saw more of the ball, adding to their tally as LMB gave away the ball too often and failed to produce any convincing challenges when it mattered. Nevertheless, Man of the Match Phil completed his hat trick with a calmly taken penalty, before unselfishly setting up Patto who slipped the ball into the open goal with his left foot to give LMB an unassailable lead. With Crozier and Sicky marshalling defence alongside Brett, and Neil producing his trademark backheels, LMB wasted a number of great chances (denied by an improved goalkeeper) before Phil set up Griffiths for his second of the match as LMB ended the game comfortable winners.
