Home league match played on 15 December 2013.
Kicked off at 10:00 AM

Just to let you know that training will be off tonight and we are having a break for Christmas I will let you know if we have any fixtures scheduled as soon as I know.

First I would like to thank everyone who played yesterday even though carrying knocks and in some situations shouldn’t of really had played, I thank you for your efforts and commitment and I think if you was going to play through injury yesterday was the day. Started the day with a lot of players missing Saturday we looked like we had 10 but then we had a few players come to our aid and play through, 10 minutes in after some lovely footie being played in there half we was 2 – 0 down Craig had the ball at his feet twice and played a through and finished well the old Portville boy seemed up for it. Then we started to play.....

What a game, Have to say Carrington really looked a different side to what we have experienced over the years and they are a very good side, so to grab a win over them in a great result especially with the inconsistent side and results we have had this season I think Carrington will definitely be up top come the end of the season.

We passed the ball excellently yesterday , first 10 minutes we really held the ball well and caused a few problems but if never was clear cut just a few half chances, we got caught out with 2 long balls and to be 2 down was harsh, but that was the situation but we didn’t abandon the passing we stuck to it and continued to try and play the ball around , the first goal was an excellent passing move which brought a fab save from Big Lee , only for Sam to roll the ball back into Russ to finish neatly. 2-1 and we had got a lifeline. Then we had a bit of silliness between a couple of our more passionate lads and this still rolled into half time , but they started touching each other and managed to sort it out. But I have to say I really don’t want to see this happening again especially not in front of the opposition at half time, some of them got the popcorn out and was watching bit embarrassing let’s keep our problems in house from now please.

So we started at half time 2-1 down we still plugged away with the passing and finally Dave squared a ball into Reice who nipped round a defender to score making it 2-2. Now they upped the game which was taking its toll on the players that hadn’t played for a while and due to this we made a change, shortly after we made an error and they went though and the winger scored a neat finish to put them 3-2 up , I hate to say but I thought looking on at the boy who had given everything we had lost out , but Griff Dave and Sam proved otherwise , Griff played a ball to Dave down the wing he fired this into the box and Sam scored a fantastic running finish. 3-3 . Carrington pushed for a winner and we counter attacked well it was real end to end stuff Reice hit a fabulous shot which lets be fair no other keeper would of stopped but Lee made a great save. And then Griff running on empty having not played for 6 months played a ball over to James whose first touch was excellent then he slotted past to make it 4-3. Motm was difficult yesterday as you all played well Dave was so close but Griff nicks it this week for coming straight in after months out and getting us going  It was a great game and a brilliant end to a disappointing year – unbeaten in 6 now let’s keep this going. We have drawn 2 that we should never have and some of those losses with a new players getting used to us wouldn’t happen now which is a major positive as the new boys are stepping up and the old guard are slowly coming back – have a great xmas lads lets regroup and have a good go when we come back.
