Pro Shottas Senior hosted Technique FC at Checker Hall Pavillion on 26 September 2026, with kick-off at 7:00pm in a tightly contested 11-a-side tournament neutral match. The home side emerged victorious with a 2-0 scoreline after a disciplined and determined performance over 90 minutes plus injury time.
Deploying a 4-2-3-1 formation, Pro Shottas Senior set up with Nashton Browne in goal, backed by a defensive line of Jenard Satney at right back, Robiniho Phillips and Romelle Burgess as central defenders, and Tidre Arthur on the left. The double pivot in midfield featured Zavion Nurse and Shakir Harewood, providing both defensive cover and distribution. Ahead of them, the attacking trio consisted of Christian Gill on the right, Ackeem Holder centrally as the attacking midfielder, and Nathan McCollin on the left, all supporting lone striker Xaveir Webster. The substitutes available were Teondre Hinkson, Kobe Burgess, Shaine Hermas, Nathan Blackman, and Mikalai Dziazhko.
From the outset, Pro Shottas Senior showed intent. Within the opening two minutes, Nathan McCollin and Xaveir Webster each forced saves from the Technique FC goalkeeper, signalling early pressure. Ackeem Holder also tested the opposition with a shot that flew high over the bar. The defensive unit was alert, with Robiniho Phillips committing a charge foul early on but avoiding any penalty concession. Both sides engaged physically, with fouls from Nathan McCollin and Shakir Harewood in the first quarter hour reflecting the competitive nature of the match.
Pro Shottas’ defence was resolute, highlighted by Phillips’ crucial clearances in the 13th and 14th minutes, helping to quell Technique FC’s advances. Attempts from Nathan McCollin and Christian Gill were either wide or blocked, but the home side maintained pressure. Jenard Satney also contributed defensively with a clearance in the 19th minute. Midfield battles were fierce, with tripping fouls from Shakir Harewood and Zavion Nurse around the 20-minute mark, but no penalties were awarded.
A standout moment came in the 23rd minute when goalkeeper Nashton Browne produced a point-blank reaction save to deny Technique FC a clear chance. Shortly after, a misplaced pass from left-back Tidre Arthur invited pressure, but the defence held firm. Attempts from Xaveir Webster and Zavion Nurse narrowly missed the target, while Romelle Burgess intercepted a threatening move in the 28th minute.
Pro Shottas continued to press, with Ackeem Holder’s efforts blocked and then sailing high in the 32nd minute. Webster was booked for a trip in the 34th minute before Christian Gill broke the deadlock in the 36th minute with a close-range tap-in, capitalising on a well-worked move. The goal injected confidence into the home side, who saw Browne safely catch a shot just before half-time.
The first half ended with Pro Shottas Senior leading 1-0, having controlled large portions of the game while maintaining defensive solidity.
The second half began with an immediate attempt from Christian Gill saved by the opposition keeper. Webster was again penalised for a trip in the 48th minute, but Browne remained alert with another catch. Just two minutes later, Webster doubled the lead for Pro Shottas Senior with a close-range finish inside the box, assisted by a long pass from Nathan McCollin. This goal gave the hosts a comfortable cushion.
However, Webster’s afternoon was cut short due to injury in the 52nd minute, with Teondre Hinkson coming on as his replacement. Despite the change, Pro Shottas maintained their attacking threat, with McCollin and Nurse both firing wide attempts in the late 50s. The match remained physical, with fouls committed by Nathan McCollin, Tidre Arthur, and Ackeem Holder between the 60th and 64th minutes.
Tidre Arthur’s wide effort in the 69th minute was followed by tactical substitutions from Pro Shottas Senior, bringing on Kobe Burgess for Ackeem Holder and Shaine Hermas for Christian Gill in quick succession. Hinkson tested the Technique FC goalkeeper with three saved attempts in the mid-70s, keeping the pressure on.
Nathan McCollin and Shaine Hermas had further chances, but both were off target. Kobe Burgess also fired wide as the home side continued to probe. Zavion Nurse’s shot was saved in the 81st minute, and fouls from Hermas and Burgess in the 83rd and 84th minutes added to the physicality of the closing stages.
An offside call against Shaine Hermas in the 85th minute was controversially overturned, with the decision deemed incorrect. Pro Shottas made further tactical changes, introducing Nathan Blackman for Romelle Burgess and Mikalai Dziazhko for Nathan McCollin in the 86th minute to shore up the defence and midfield.
In injury time, Tidre Arthur’s high effort was one of the last attempts before Nathan Blackman’s crucial interception in the 93rd minute prevented a late chance for Technique FC, securing the clean sheet.
Pro Shottas Senior’s 2-0 victory was built on a solid defensive foundation, timely goals from Christian Gill and Xaveir Webster, and a disciplined team performance at Checker Hall Pavillion. The win demonstrated their ability to control the game, absorb pressure, and capitalise on key moments to claim all three points.
