Home league match played on 06 October 2012.
Kicked off at 10:00 AM

2 minutes extra time played.

Hawkwell had beaten Leigh Road and Shoebury already and were a potential unknown entity although we would be expecting to beat teams of their general level.

To be fair, after super Pete knocked in the opener and we faced a competitive 10-15 mins, the win was never in doubt. We played like champions passing the ball around, winning it back like animals and generally using it well.

We had a monster squad of 19 and so it was nice to be able to play 2 almost completely different teams in both games for this.

Pete's first was with his standing leg but apparently thats accurate as well as he curled the ball easily into the bottom corner to mug off yet another goalie this season. I missed the 2nd goal as i was collecting conkers with Jakey and i subsequently missed Collins goal, Gary M's goal and Pete's 2nd. I did however see Tommy Well's effort bounce in off the post and Jamie M's free kick which was greedily snapped in just as it crossed the line by his overly competitive bro but from my special refferee eyes it appeared just over the line before Gary headed so Jamie gets the goal and the glory !!

From what i saw we did almost completely dominate this one and got the victory and the scoreline we deserved. Teams like this are all pegs on the way to another league victory which im sure you all want. We have to give them respect of any opposition and go out and do a proper job with sensible heads on and we did it.

Jamie M gets star man over Pete who had already done the damage required in the 1st half as he makes defending look easy, plays the ball around and got his goal. Reminds me of a young Gurel although not quite sd mentally good as the great man (sic)
