Home league match played on 26 September 2010.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

All I can say abouit todays game was pure class. The match report today is going to be slightly different, more like how the SUN reports its dream team.

A lot of the work in training last week was carried through to todays game. Without giving too much away to our future opposition we were superb.

Adam Devlin - did not have too much today but as usual was calm, focussed and pulled off two world class saves.

Max Derkson - turned up to help us out as were short of players on the back of arriving home at 5am from Ibiza, did very well.

Charlie Tomsett - a rock once again at the back and won every header, a commanding force.

Joe Howard - Second game in two days and did not put a foot wrong.

Mark Newman - A captains match, led from the back and got forward a lot to set up moves.

Gary Anderson - Once again a force linking up with debutant Drew Michael and a class left footed stike.

Drew Michael - Debuting today was never going to be easy but Drew got man of the match for his tireless work and linked up brilliantly with Gaz, wait till he is fit again.

Dan Shrubb - another player who turned up from Gatwick as such, no sleep and lasted 45 minutes due to jet lag lol, but once again gave his all.

Damon Harman - Once again a true clinical display - some class skill - a hat trick including a direct free kick, is well on his way to 20 goals this season from midfied, watch out Stevie !

Luke Poulton - still carrying an injury his defensive and attacking work was class. Scored a great goal and was strong in all areas.

Ben Stonham - played upfront today and two goals in 9 minutes meant that Rosehill could continue to dominate the match. Good to see Ben getting back to his best following a nasty injury.

Josh Rathbone - Commitment as a sub only due to an issue with the trains today but was class and his work rate was immense.

Marky Martin - Still only 16 but showed why he is a real squad player. Won some great challenges, was keen to go down the flanks and was part of the 10 out of 10 team move for the last goal.

Tony "Gaffer" - came on for last 3 minutes and did enough to suggest that with a bit more fitness is one for the future. Or did he just come on to make up the numbers? 4th appearance in 3 years and one to watch :)

Gary "Coach" Derkson - a great tactician once again and was so professional in administering first aid to the injured Hove Lawns player.

A great display lads, competitive, slick passing and movement and a great win.

Onto next week and a tough game against Wilmington who Rosehill are looking to get revenge on following their 6-3 defeat last season.

A final note from Tony and Gaz " Its great to see the training ground work come to fruition and a great display and team performance" It is so nice to see all the players laughing, smiling and encouraging on and off the pitch.

Keep it up lads you are only going to get better individualy and as a team.

Cheers Tone and Gaz
