Pete Nicholson, who wears the number 13 shirt for Red Star' scored 4 and Tsoi smashed in another to take the Round 2 cup game from London Lionhearts.

Red Star continued their good form in 2013 (2 wins and a draw) on a heavy Abbey Rec Pitch against Lionhearts,  from Division 2, in the second round of Wimbledon Trophy.

However it was Lionhearts who took the lead after Red Star failed to clear a corner and the loose ball was tucked away by the little ginger striker.

Fortunately it was cancelled out soon after when Aly 'persistent' Duncan ran down a lost cause into the corner of the pitch to put a decent cross in to the box. Nicholson challenged the keeper who came to claim it and dropped it leaving Nicholson the chance to poke the ball home.

15 minutes later Nicholson claimed his second after a precision through ball from Duncan left him with the job of holding off a defender before slotting the ball past the keeper. Although it was close to the keeper, he was able to get a save in.

Nicholson grabbed his first ever hat trick just before half time when another through ball from Maries allowed Nicholson plenty of time to pick his shot into the bottom corner of the goal.

Red Stars first half dominance was personified by the hard working wingers, Seb Davies and Paulo Perata who worked up an down the pitch tirelessly. The great attacking performance was built upon a very solid defensive performance from Misty, Jones, Matthews and Cope.

After the break, with conditions deteriorating an improving Lionhearts began to match Red Star all over the pitch. However, the introduction of Tsoi, Ap-Thomas and Madlin helped swing things back in Red Stars Favour.

With less than 10 minutes left the driving runs and dribbles of Tsoi resulted in him smashing in a driving cross goal shot which was well saved by the keeper. The ball rebounded to Grant Jones who scuffed a shot into one of the 2 covering defenders, only for the ball to fall to Nicholson who simply lifted the ball over the defenders in to the net for his fourth.

Tsoi got the reward his hard work deserved when another driving run and angled screamer beat the keeper to score the goal of the game.

Although Red Star fell to second in the league today, if they continue to play throughout 2013 as they have started the year, they will be challenging for both cup and league in what is their historic 10th season.
