30 minutes extra time played.

The game started off even with both teams having good possession of the ball. Within the 8th minute Frost opened up the score line to put Romanby ahead.

Topcliffe began to put of the pressure and in the 23rd minute they were awarded a penalty when Goff handled the ball inside the area. Topcliffe converted this to bring the score line 1-1.

Both teams then had chances until the 32nd minute when Frost scored to put Romanby ahead once again. Within minutes Smith opened up the score line more from a world class long range strike. Romanby 3-1.

Topcliffe pressured Romanby once more with Wells making some good saves to keep Romanby in control of the game. Going into half time score line remained 3-1 to Romanby.

The second half started well for Romanby as they continued to attack. Frost could have extended the lead more unfortunately missing an open goal.

Topcliffe then turned the attack on Romanby and scored in the 52nd minute. Topcliffe was then awarded a freekick due to Goff handling the ball for a second time. From this freekick a penalty was then awarded which Topcliffe easily converted. With the attack still on Topcliffe took control of the game by then scoring again in the 56th minute.

Romanby came fighting back with Frost scoring in the 58th minute to get the score line back even. With both team putting on pressure and having good possession of the ball it was Topcliffe that went back on top after scoring in the 66th minute.

Romanby did not give up they continued to fight back, they had the ball in the back of the net which would have evened the score line but it was dis-allowed for offside.

Within the dying minutes of the game Fishburn came through and scored which took the game into extra time.

Going into extra time the score line was 5-5.

Both teams went into extra time wanting the win, both had even possession however Romanby were beginning to tire.

Topcliffe scored a wonderful long range goal which then put them ahead. Romanby continued to fight back however it wasnt quite enough when in the 115th minute Topcliffe scored again.

Full time whistle blew. Topcliffe 7 - 5 Romanby.

A fantastic game and a good effort from all the lads. Kris Frost was award man of the match by Topcliffe and Steven Heaney was given the team man of the match.
