Home league match played on 14 September 2025.
Kicked off at 3:00 PM

Rosina Sedibane hosted Pull Together at the Rosina Sports Fields on 14 September 2025, with kick-off at 3:00pm in a keenly contested league fixture. The match ended in a 2-2 stalemate after 90 minutes of intense football, leaving both sides to share the spoils.

Rosina Sedibane lined up in a 4-1-2-3 formation, aiming to balance defensive solidity with attacking flair. Cindy Mhlongo took her place in goal, protected by a back four consisting of Dakalo Malumedzha at right defender, Nomthandazo Zwane and Bontle Ralekwa as central defenders, and Kgalalelo Selokela on the left. Keabetswe Molekoa operated as the lone holding midfielder, tasked with shielding the defence and distributing the ball. Ahead of him, Lethabo Mokhonwana and Lethabo Martin played as right and left attacking midfielders respectively, expected to link midfield and attack with creativity and width. The front three featured Cathrine on the right forward flank, Phuti Manamela leading the line as striker, and Rayleigh Bojosi on the left forward position, all charged with breaking down the opposition defence and scoring goals. On the bench, Rosina Sedibane had Onalenna Mphahlele and Bokang Mokgonyana ready to make an impact if called upon.

The match began with both teams probing for openings, but it was Pull Together who struck first in an unfortunate manner for the hosts. In the 29th minute, an attempted clearance from a Pull Together player went awry, resulting in an own goal from outside the box, struck with the right foot. This early setback put Rosina Sedibane ahead against the run of play.

Despite this, the first half ended with the scoreline unchanged at 1-0, as both sides battled hard but failed to add to the tally before the break.

The second half saw Rosina Sedibane respond positively. Just eight minutes after the restart, Rayleigh Bojosi doubled the lead with a composed tap-in from close range. The goal came courtesy of a precise cross from Cathrine on the right, who delivered the ball into the box for Bojosi to finish with her right foot.

In an effort to refresh the side and maintain momentum, Rosina Sedibane made a tactical substitution in the 60th minute, bringing Onalenna Mphahlele on for striker Phuti Manamela. Ten minutes later, another tactical change followed as Bokang Mokgonyana replaced left attacking midfielder Lethabo Martin, aiming to inject fresh energy into the wide areas.

Rosina Sedibane continued to press and were rewarded in the 80th minute when central midfielder Keabetswe Molekoa scored a stunning set-piece goal. Receiving a corner, Molekoa unleashed a right-footed strike from outside the box that found the back of the net, extending the home side’s advantage to 3-0.

However, Pull Together were not to be denied a share of the points. In the final moments of the match, deep into added time at the 90th minute, they pulled a goal back with a well-taken strike from outside the area, also struck with the right foot, reducing the deficit to 3-1.

The visitors’ late goal sparked a frantic finish, and they managed to find an equaliser before the final whistle, bringing the score to 2-2. This last-minute effort ensured that Pull Together left Rosina Sports Fields with a valuable point.

Nomthandazo Zwane stood out for Rosina Sedibane, commanding the central defence with composure and resilience throughout the match, earning the player of the match accolade.

Ultimately, the game was a thrilling encounter marked by moments of quality and drama, with both teams sharing honours in a pulsating 2-2 draw.
