The season for giving, and we gave it away...

Not a good performance by any means, I felt there was something really lacking today.

I don’t know if so many weeks off and a shed load changes made all the difference.

Early on Dynamos had all of the ball, all of the possession and play and all the chances and we found ourselves three nil down in 15 minuets, and in shock.

A couple of school boy errors by the defence and a lack of cover really cost us and we never recovered despite a brilliant come back attempt.

The first half was pretty much a right off very few positives, little or no communication and everyone switched off to what was happening around them. We were second to most of the balls and struggled to cope with pace of the Dynamos wide men.

Robbie put in shed loads of effort and seemed to be carrying some of his team mates at times his movement and team play was different from the Robbie we usually see on the wing.

We would all do well to take a leaf from his performance today.

Jay Robbers Sr had his obligatory run down the left, winning some crunching tackles and sending two defenders the wrong way, with his trade mark turn and delivering a dangerous ball in to the box only for Pete to be off side…again!

Bocco went from Centre half to Centre midfield and I feel this improved the balance of the team with a greater areal presence in the middle of the park. And some no nonsense tackles when we may have been caught on the counter.

Philippe’s arrival could not come soon enough and his physical presence changed the game, he won everything in the air held up the ball ran in behind their defence and even got on the score sheet. It’s hard to see us losing if he was available from the start another outstanding performance.

Dave king came off the bench and again showed his class, and organisation and Dynamos seemed toothless once Dave set foot on the pitch.

Some dubious decisions by the ref and lines men were the real difference in the game with a clear goal being scrubbed off for View after the cheating lines man cancelled out a fair and nice goal with one of the only pieces of nice play the match produced for the goal that would have made the game 3-2 with 35 to play then about 5 minuets later Dynamos being awarded a goal after Jamie Steer failed to notice a forward in a yellow jersey at least three yards off side right under his nose, a clear case of too much wanking ! The ref went with the lines man despite the fact he felt he was off side.

At least the ref was consistent, he consistently went against us! but even with 3 of their goals being gifted to them and a forth stolen, Dynamos only just managed to beat us and we had a diminished team, possible the weakest we have fielded this season. So we should take heart in that.

Lets show that bounce back ability and smash the next team off the pitch!

Notable mention to Matt king stand in keeper, all round team player good example by our captain for this week J
