Home other match played on 07 February 2016.
Kicked off at 3:00 PM

After the last game the Colts were ready to move forward. They had had a brilliant training session a few days before and despite the late kick off they were all ready for this. Training had looked at trying to eradicate mistakes and know when the ball had to go forward. The Colts were reminded that despite the score they had played brilliant last week and should not be discouraged from passing. Again, they would have to take their turn in goal.

The game started brightly and Finn had an early chance one on one but the keeper made a good save. Ryan followed up moments later but shot past the post.

Up the other end, the Colts faced their first free kick after Mathew handled just outside the box. Quick as a flash and obviously having played FIFA the Colts formed a wall. It was not in the right place but after a few instructions from the coaches they were lined up. Hands on privates!!!! The whole wall was beaming. This was proper football. Matthew saved the shot well.

Cole was playing slightly further forward and in on goal, chipped a little shot which was well saved. Clever effort.

Unfortunately from a kick in they made another error and conceded a soft goal. Worth noting that they wanted to pass the ball out from the back so they can’t be criticised for that. 0-1.

Heads up and the Colts were up the other end and Matty intercepted the ball and with an advancing keeper took it round him to stroke home into an empty net 1-1. A nice early reply form the Colts.

Seconds later Ryan struck a long range shot and made it 1-2.

The colts again were passing well and from a Kick in Ryan squared it to Matty who battled well and struck at goal. The shot was blocked but in his advanced role Cole followed up. 1-3.

It was about time the Colts had some luck and after another strong passage of play and with pressure on the defence they were 1-4 from an OG.

The Colts were now on top and able to express themselves. A gasp came from the crowd as Freddie showed his skills with the a cheeky step over/drag back. Class from Freddie.

Matty now took his turn in goal and made a great save before Will cleared up. Proper defending and great positioning from Will.

The Colts were firing in on goal. Freddie smacking one from distance which was again well saved.

They kept passing and Will struck a nice square pass to Jack who moved it on nicely to Freddie. The Crowd showed their appreciation for that as the ball travelled form one side of the pitch to the other.

Colts had learnt from their mistakes and at a Kick in from Finn Cole was put in and shot to make it 1-5.

Almost a repeat a few minutes later, this time Finn took the shot which was saved before Cole stepped up 1-6.

Ryan was now in goal and made 2 great saves, back to back.

From the kick out, Finn picked up the ball and went on a bit oif a mazy run before cooling slotting home to make it 1-7.

The Tigers battled well and from a scramble got a goal back and made it 2-7.

Back on the attack and quick to put that goal out of their mind, Finn was in again and with his Left foot popped up with his brace to make it 2-8.

Colts got a little sloppy and from a break in their own half the tigers pushed forward and made it 3-8. To be fair to the Colts they had pushed forward trying to press the ball but got caught on the break.

Ryan was now back out and from a square pass from Finn made it 3-9.

Ryan was then set up by Jack who played a lovely forward pass and it was 3-10.

Jack then took his turn in goal. He had been waiting for this and within minutes had made two great saved. He finished the game with a hatrick of saves.

Will protected the keeper well in defence and made some very big tackles.

James who had been flying up the wing all game picked up the ball in his own box and took it out to the left week and went up the wing. He kept going and going and going and was unlucky to shoot wide. A real counter attack.

Next came one of the goals of the day. The Tigers had another freekick. The wall set up again and with a glint in his eye the tigers played Chipped it over the wall and into the top of the net. A great goal.

The game was not done yet. Ryan hit the post after some great passing before Freddie turned and struck a great shot just wide.

A great game for the Colts. A well-deserved victory.

Not much

This was a great game.

Carry on as normal.

FINN

One of his better games and played some great passes and scored two very nice goals. Especially the one he slotted into the corner with his left foot.

Tackling needs to come on. He needs to be positioned better in the tackle.

Quick around the pitch which puts him in good positions.
