Away league match played on 27 September 2025.
Kicked off at 12:00 PM

Sebastopol AFC U12s travelled to Northfields, Cwmbran, on 27 September 2025 for a 12:00pm kick-off in a league away fixture against Cwmbran United. The 9-a-side contest lasted 70 minutes plus added time, with Sebastopol AFC U12s running out convincing 9-3 winners in a high-scoring encounter.

Sebastopol lined up in a 2-1-4-1 formation, deploying two central defenders, a lone central midfielder, four attacking midfielders across the flanks and centre, and a solitary striker leading the line. Samuel Jones guarded the goal, with Billy Whately and Logan Nash anchoring the defence. Deacon Jeune operated as the central midfielder, tasked with linking defence and attack. The attacking midfield quartet featured Liam Hall on the left, Tomos Cowley on the right, with Thomas Evans and Callan Davies occupying central attacking midfield roles. Up front, Jackson Vallis spearheaded the attack. The substitutes available were Jared Jenkins and Bobby Scard.

From the outset, Sebastopol’s attacking intent was clear. Just eight minutes in, Callan Davies opened the scoring with a close-range finish, expertly set up by Thomas Evans’ short pass. Seven minutes later, Davies doubled his tally with a stunning strike from outside the box, again assisted by Evans, showcasing his shooting prowess from distance.

The momentum continued as Davies turned provider at the 20-minute mark, laying off a neat short pass for Jackson Vallis to tap in from close range. Six minutes later, Evans himself got on the scoresheet, finishing inside the box after a slick one-two with Vallis. The early exchanges highlighted Sebastopol’s fluid attacking play and clinical finishing.

At 28 minutes, Sebastopol made a double substitution, bringing on Jared Jenkins for Callan Davies and Bobby Scard replacing Liam Hall. The changes did not disrupt the team’s rhythm. Just four minutes later, Jenkins marked his introduction with a close-range goal, capitalising on a precise cross from Tomos Cowley.

Jackson Vallis then added to his tally in the 35th minute with a well-struck effort from outside the box, rounding off a prolific first half for Sebastopol. The half concluded with the visitors firmly in control at 7-0.

The second half saw Sebastopol maintain their attacking threat. Vallis continued his fine form, scoring a solo goal from close range in the 45th minute. However, Cwmbran United began to respond, pulling a goal back in the 50th minute with a close-range tap-in, signalling a fightback.

Sebastopol’s Vallis was undeterred, netting another solo goal from outside the box in the 61st minute, extending the lead once more. Cwmbran United managed to score again two minutes later through a goalmouth scramble, showing resilience despite the deficit.

Jared Jenkins added a headed goal in the 66th minute, rising to meet a cross from Tomos Cowley, further cementing Sebastopol’s dominance. Cwmbran United scored twice more late on, once in the 68th minute and earlier in the half, but it was not enough to stem the tide.

Sebastopol AFC U12s’ attacking quartet of Davies, Evans, Cowley, and Vallis combined superbly throughout, with the defence and midfield providing solid support. The substitutions injected fresh energy, with Jenkins making an immediate impact. The 2-1-4-1 formation allowed Sebastopol to control possession and create numerous chances, resulting in a comprehensive 9-3 victory on the road.
