Away cup match played on 08 January 2012.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

Albany Rangers           0                  St Michaels                       3 St Michaels started 2012 with another cup gme against a team from a higher division. This time it was the 2nd round of the Bob Snow Cup against Albany Rangers who were currently lying in 2nd place in the 1st Division.

Both teams started well and play went from end to end with St Michaels having the majority of possession. It was not until the 36th minute that the first goal came for St Michaels when Adam Fahy made a good run down the left and crossed for Danny Baptiste to apply his standard Tap in at the far post.   0  -  1 . The half ended with no further goals.

                H T:            Albany Rangers   0   St Michaels F C   1

St Michaels started the 2nd half much quicker than their opponents and after 8 minutes from the restart a good cross from Dan Regan was met with a firm header from Connor Reardon which was brilliantly saved by the Albany Rangers keeper to stop St Michaels increasing their lead. 5 minutes later however he was powerless to stop another good cross from Adam Fahy being converted by Ronnie Mewes.  0  -  2.

With St Michaels dominating the play and looking comfortable apart from the odd long ball from the home side, 2 substitutions were made in the 66th and 78 minutes, with Jamie Guyatt replacing Anthony Baptiste and Mo Abarak replacing Ronnie Mewes. St Michaels continued to play well despite some heavy tackles from Albany Rangers and a lack of assistance from the over fussy Referee who had a bad game throughout the match. St Michaels got another deserved goal in the 88th minute when once again a great cross from Adam Fahy was tapped in by Mo Abarak. Three carbon copy goals all made by Adam Fahy who terrorised the Albany Rangers right back from the 1st minute.

F T :   Albany Rangers   0     St Michaels F C   3

Another good performance from St Michaels which takes them into their first Semi Final since being formed at the start of the season. Whilst all the team played well special mentions his week go to Jack Meade who gave a tireless and skilful performance in midfield and Adam Fahy who was outstanding on the left wing apart from his shooting. Man of the Match however goes to Matthew Booth who was a stalwart in the St Michaels defence and gave his best performance of the season.
