Away league match played on 16 April 2015.
Kicked off at 5:00 PM

Starlands played their 3rd game in a week.

Most of the team arrived in good time, it was just a shame we were all at the wrong venue !...fortunately Erasmus Darwin College was just around the corner.

Needless to say not an ideal warm up...and a rushed start meant Starlands were ill prepared.

Starlands started well with Marcus getting an early turn and shot in being saved by the Chasetown keeper.

Chasetown then broke and scored but was flagged off side - and the whistle blew ! phew !

A BIG kick from Ben ws flicked on by Josh to Luke at the back post who ballooned it over ...

Another big kick from Ben bounced well inside the CHasetown half..Azza nearly got on the end of it. The resulting Starlands corner was cleared...a miss kick by Nick allowed the Chasetown striker to turn inside and his shot went beyond Ben to make it 1-0 against the run of play.

Oska hacked down the Chasetown striker and was lucky not to get a yellow card !...The frre kick was played into the box with pace and a lovely little Messi flick on forced Ben down to his left sharpish to make a terrific instinctive save .

ANother goal kick nearly bounced over Ben's head....phew !

A free kick was saved by Ben and half time came with the score 1-0 to Chasetown.

Luke had run his sock so ff and came off for a breather, Another lad who put a shift inand did for the remainder of the game was Azza. He's here he's there he's every.......where AZZA ! ..infact at half time the effort was so good from the boys we didnt we didnt even realise Callum was playing ! NO MEAN FEAT.

Nick and Kieran were solid at the back with Aran once again looking calm and assured on the ball, continuing where he left off last week.

Josh, Oska and Reece were giving 100% and chasing ever ball down - But, Chasetown had a little No.7 who was running the game single handed.

A through ball to Josh was hit at the keeper...who produced a great save...it should have been the equaliser.

Ben then followed this up by tipping a point blank shot onto the crossbar.

MArcus then went on a mazy run beating about 4 or 5 players....but just couldn't get a pass off to a player in space.

Nick then gave a penalty away - and the No.7 stepped up to score the second. He hit it straight down the middle and once again Ben tipped it onto the bar.

Reece was making himself busy and was unlucky not to get his 2nd in two weeks. He shot wide but was actually given off side.

Another through ball was held up by Reece who played the ball to Kieran who had made a great run to support the attackers. Kieran timed his shot to perfection and smashed it goal bound. The Chasetown keeper produced another great save and kept Starlands at bay.

Ben came off his line time and time again to clear the ball as Starlands pushed forward for the equaliser....but eventually the Starlands defence gave way and the striker rounded Ben one on one to make it 2-0 and so it finished.

A really entretaining game played both teams in a very good spirit.

Man of The Match was awarded to Azza who gave everything today. Ben had another great game and looks to be back to last years form just as the season is coming to a close.

Marcus had tried his best to feed others and get the odd shot off...and it just hadnt run for the likes of Oska and Josh upfront...Well done Boys !
